Taos guided history tour with Sam as guide - Excellent guided tour. Sam was the best guide we every had. He knew so much history and told about people he had met over the years and other stories that made the tour really special. Jerry and Sally Salino

Tour excellent. Trip Advisor communication with tour operator not great. - The tour, led by Sam, was excellent. But it almost didn’t happen because the tour guide had not been notified by Trip Advisor that there was a tour at this time on this day. Only because the tour guide happened to be in the area for another reason were we able to connect.

Tour with Sam... - Sam was a great tour guide. He seemed to know most (if not all) of the shop owners in town and was able to introduce us to these folks as we toured some galleries. We really appreciated the pictures he had available to tell his "stories" ... a really good touch! We appreciated the opportunity to spend part of the morning with Sam. Recommend him highly!

Like a walk with and old friend - A friendly walk around Taos Plaza. Very interesting facts and stories that made history of Taos come alive. Intimate details not the usual material that is in a guide book.

Perfect walking tour - Sam does a great job of telling the colorful history of Taos. A bit of straight history. Colorful characters. The art colony scene. Movies. Aa bit of the Implies politics of the region. Add in places to shop and eat. Very fun and interesting

Educational look at Taos art scene and history. - Sam is a wonderful resource for all things historical in Taos. We thoroughly enjoyed his stories, aided by his collection of pictures and art. He helped us appreciate the art and culture around us.

Guide laid back, but knew... - Guide laid back, but knew his information. None of the places visited actually charged an admission fee. Most galleries, museums, houses were talked about from the street.

Our walk with Sam. - We enjoyed listening to Sam. Learned a lot of local history and about local artists. He showed us corners of Taos we were unaware of. The tour we signed up for was 90 minutes but ours ended at 1 hour. That was disappointing.
