- Taormina - Schedule an appointment at either 10:00 am or 6:30 pm with the chef at Restaurant Porta Messina. Upon arrival, participants will find a table set with all necessary tools and will be provided with an apron. The session begins with crafting homemade pasta using a traditional method. Following the pasta, participants will prepare “homemade Caponata” using fresh vegetables sourced from the market. Throughout the lesson, various other dishes from the Sicilian culinary tradition will be prepared, including fresh sardines, zucchini flowers, and more. After the course, everyone will gather at a table to taste the prepared dishes, accompanied by a selection of Sicilian wines and liquors. Mineral water and coffee are also included. Each guest will receive a delightful recipe in English and a certificate of participation from the Chef.

Cooking in Sicily - We received such good instructions from Luca, the chef. He made it easy to follow directions when making the pasta. We also made sword fish crumpets, eggplant parm, which was delicious, and another kind of baked fish that was similar to sea bass, oh and of course all the red and white wine we could drink. We met 3 other couples from different areas of the world who were very nice and entertaining. I highly recommend this cooking class! You won’t be disappointed.

A wonderful time with chef Maurizio - My better half and I had a wonderful time with chef Maurizio. He was funny, kind, warm, friendly and knowledgeable, taking us through fine points of the food items we were cooking while creating a fantastic meal that included some fine wine. I could not recommend him more highly. Cheers, Maurizio!!!!

Good time in Taormina - Hands on and fun. The head chef was very entertaining. The resulting lunch is also delicious! Pasta, eggplant Parmesan, swordfish rolls.

Great hosts with so much... - Great hosts with so much personality. Very welcoming! We had so much fun making so many different foods. Their olive oil is impeccable. Such a beautiful experience 😍❤️✨️💖

Sicilian hospitality at its best - The cookery class was great fun with excellent chefs and great food. Learnt lots and enjoyed eating the food we prepared. Shout out to Mairizio and Paulo for excellent hosting and help along the way. Lovely to meet other travellers from all over the world.

Top pasta and pizza course! - Super fun pasta and pizza course in Taormina. Friendly and funny Ricardo taught us, we had lunch and we could enjoy our homemade pasta and pizza.

A lot of Fish - I wish the description shared what traditional Sicilian meals would be created. If we had knew in advance, it probably would have deterred us due to the food menu (sea bass, swordfish rolls, sardines, eggplant parm, and our own macaroni we made which was very soft/ soggy, not aldente at all. The experience itself was great, just not the menu.
