- Taormina - Schedule an appointment at either 10:00 am or 6:30 pm with the chef at Restaurant Porta Messina. Upon arrival, participants will find a table set with all necessary tools and will be provided with an apron. The session begins with crafting homemade pasta using a traditional method. Following the pasta, participants will prepare “homemade Caponata” using fresh vegetables sourced from the market. Throughout the lesson, various other dishes from the Sicilian culinary tradition will be prepared, including fresh sardines, zucchini flowers, and more. After the course, everyone will gather at a table to taste the prepared dishes, accompanied by a selection of Sicilian wines and liquors. Mineral water and coffee are also included. Each guest will receive a delightful recipe in English and a certificate of participation from the Chef.

Great experience! - This class was a lot of fun! Learned to make a number of different dishes and a lot of backstories along the way. Paulo and Antonio were amazing teachers! Great experience, highly recommend if you have the time. Come hungry since there’s lots to eat!

Fun and educational cooking class - We loved our class with Maurizio and Alessandra, they both explained everything very well and helped us when we needed it. They were friendly and funny and made the class fun as well as educational. The food we made was delicious and was served with plenty of wine. Would recommend 👌

Cookschool Fun! - From start to finish we enjoyed the expertise, the sense of humour, the freshness of ingredients and the professionalism of the team at the cookschool. Paolo ensured that everyone participated and enjoyed the experience. His passion as a proud Sicilian was always evident. The range of dishes we prepared, and ate, along with yummy wine ensured a memorable day for us all.

Great Class - My husband and I did the Sicilian Cooking Class. It was great. We make fresh pasta, coated a sea bass in a salt crust, made swordfish rolls, and eggplant parmesan. The chef was very helpful and the other cooks that helped were also great. The food turned out fantastic!!

Taormina cook school- BRAVO - A great day. Chef Paulo and his team where full of fun and energy. We got an overview of some local produce and an insight into Sicilian cuisine. We made various dishes including pasta, salt baked fish ( see bass/breem) , swordfish rolls to name a few, which we then sat down and enjoyed with the rest of the group accompanied by a content supply of local wine. We would 100% do this again.

Yum! - Paolo was amazing ! Good time and good food and wine for all ! Very organized — after a trip to local produce market, we learned how to make pasta, eggplant parm and breaded swordfish - a very nice start to our first trip to Taormina ! Lots of fun!

Great Sicilian cooking! - Fantastic night cooking in a restaurant crntral Taormina, wiith the great hostess Margerita! Pasta, fish, lasagne, sardines, wine and desert, great environment and we had the mmost fun time neeting new people from around the world👍 We did the evening class which was perfect for us, althouhgh noarket visit included of course as being night, but we were glad then to spend more time cooking g instead. Recommended!

A super fun and yummy experience! - Lots of food and fun! Mary, Mauricio, and Giovanni made this a really great experience. Be prepared for hands-on active participation and enjoy the results of your labors. We made baked sea bass, swordfish rolls, veal rolls, eggplant Parmesan, and pasta! Delicious cannoli and limoncello provided. Highly recommend this fun activity!

Not really what we expected - Would’ve liked more participation from the instructor. No need to go to the market a waste of time. He really didn’t spend that much time with the people thank goodness we had a nice crowd and enjoy the company. Was expecting a little more from the class. The chef kept walking away from my many times and leaving us all alone. He was very nice, but I think it could’ve been more participation on his part.
