Not Really a “Tour” - We have done many “tours” through Viator including several in Sicily. I felt this was not really a tour where someone explained in more detail what to look for or more explanation on points of interest. With 4 adults paying over $400 it was merely expensive transportation from Catania. The driver was very cordial, on time, and a very safe driver navigating the roads.

Wordt experience ever - ​I am writing this to warn others about the "Etna-Taormina-Castelmola" tour departing from Catania. This was, without a doubt, the worst travel experience of our lives. ​The Etna Disaster: The tour started at 10:00 AM, but we spent over 3 hours stuck in a massive traffic jam heading up Mt. Etna. During this time, we were trapped on the bus with no information provided in English, and no opportunity to use a restroom. After 3 hours, the driver simply dropped us off in the middle of the road among moving cars. We had to walk for 30 minutes to find the nearest toilet and restaurant. ​Lack of Communication: Because there was no English guidance, many passengers (including us) had no idea what was happening or where to meet. We spent our "free time" just trying to find basic facilities and never even saw the Silvestri Craters. When we finally found the bus, we sat there for another hour waiting for lost passengers who had no signal and no info. We spent half the day on the mountain with no water, no service, and zero updates. ​The "Tour" in the Dark: Despite passengers demanding to be taken back to Catania, the driver ignored us. We arrived in Taormina at 17:30, just as it was getting dark. The Amphitheatre was already closed, and Isola Bella was too far to see. By the time we reached Castelmola, it was pitch black. We were given 45 minutes to see a town and a castle that were completely unlit and dangerous to navigate in the dark. We saw absolutely nothing. ​Unacceptable Customer Service: The next day, we went to the agency to complain. Instead of an apology, the staff shouted at us and were incredibly rude. They initially offered another tour as compensation, which we refused. After a heated argument, they eventually threw 30% of our money back at us. We felt forced to accept it just to get away from their aggressive behavior. ​Summary: This tour ruined one full day of our 3-day trip to Sicily. It was disorganized, dangerous, and the staff's attitude was professional misconduct. Do not book this tour.

Taormina and Castelmona Tour - Due to the extremely wet weather today and thick fog in all places visited today the tour should have been rescheduled or a refund offered to guests. The only positive of the entire tour was the fantastic and skillful driving from the bus driver.
