Not a Tour, A Life Experience - A Must - Picked this tour specifically for the visit of the House/Castle shown in the film and what a great decision it was. First the operator of the tour was excellent and able to accommodate our request, second the tour was private so it went at our pace with pick up at our hotel and third our tour guide Riccardo was a perfect fit, so knowledgable and truly a great host for Sicily. I chose this tour specifically for the tour stop of the house of Corleone (castle used in the filming of the Godfather); very few tours included this stop and WOW did it not disappoint! On arrival at the Castle, we got to meet the owner / Prince of the castle it was not just a meet and greet but he was with my Wife and I the entire time proudly showing us his home, the memorabilia of the time filming Godfather and his times hosting celebrities. The Prince’s hospitality in his home was so heartwarming never did I think we would have such a unique experience. It was a one on one time with a Prince! His castle around 600 years old, complete with walls a church and centuries of experiences and treasures. What was anticipated as a tour of sites from the GodFather filming resulted in a once of a lifetime experience. The Prince and his home is truly a Sicilian treasure and we got to be immersed in to a rich heritage of history and life. I just can’t say enough about the experience. Riccardo our guide was a true gentleman, tending to our needs, questions and knew all the best stops and those there that could turn a simple tour into a memorable life experience. The other stops on the trip were enchanting, a ride up to one of the churches in a three wheeled scooter was fun and certainly entertaining, a wonderful bite to eat and refreshing drink along the way made the pace of the tour relaxing and refreshed us from the busy site seeing vacation mode we were in. Highly recommend this experience. From the operator to our guide and the most unique experience of meeting and spending time with a Prince seeing his home was a life experience; truly an amazing time.
