Serengeti National Park - The Highland Ascent After a refreshing breakfast, depart between 8:45 and 9:00 am. The journey begins with an ascent to the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint. Pause for 20 minutes to absorb the breathtaking panoramic views of the ancient caldera before descending toward the expansive plains.

Into the Serengeti Arrive at the Serengeti’s Naabi Gate in time for lunch. This marks the entrance to Tanzania’s oldest park, a vast 1.5-million-hectare wilderness and home to the Great Migration. After a brief stretch, delve into the “endless plains” for an immersive afternoon game drive.

Sunset in the Wild As the golden hour nears, enjoy a sunset game drive while heading to Nakupenda Luxury Camp. Witness the Serengeti’s predators awaken as the sun sets below the horizon.

The Serengeti Sunrise & The Highland Journey

Serengeti National Park - Rise with the sun for an early morning game drive. This is the most dramatic hour in the Serengeti, as nocturnal predators like lions finish their nightly hunts and the plains come alive. After witnessing the first light over the savannah, return to the camp for a fresh, leisurely breakfast.

The Transit Expedition By midday, reach Naabi Gate for a refined picnic lunch. From here, begin a transit game drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This journey offers a final glimpse of the endless plains before the landscape transitions into lush, rolling highlands.
