Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - Depart from Arusha at approximately 7:30 am for a picturesque journey of about 2.5 hours to Tarangire National Park. This park is famous for its ancient baobab trees, expansive savannahs, and the Tarangire River, which draws large herds of elephants and other wildlife. During the game drive, you might see giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions, leopards, and a remarkable variety of birds. A picnic lunch will be provided within the park before you continue exploring. In the afternoon, travel to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at a comfortable mid-range lodge, such as Eileen’s Trees Inn or Country Lodge.

Ngorongoro Crater Tour - The UNESCO World Heritage Site

Ngorongoro Crater - Today, visit one of Africa’s most stunning natural wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater. After breakfast, drive to the crater rim and descend 600 meters to the floor of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater hosts an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, hippos, lions, hyenas, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic location within the crater before continuing your game drive. In the late afternoon, return to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge, either Eileen’s Trees Inn or Country Lodge.

Lake Manyara National Park & Return to Arusha

Lake Manyara National Park - After breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Although relatively small, the park is incredibly diverse, featuring habitats ranging from lush groundwater forests and open savannah to acacia woodlands and the shimmering alkaline lake. Your game drive will lead you through the forested entrance, where troops of baboons and blue monkeys are often spotted. As you proceed, watch for elephants gracefully moving through the woodland, giraffes browsing on acacia trees, and the park’s most famous residents—the elusive tree-climbing lions. The lake is a paradise for bird enthusiasts, with flocks of flamingos, pelicans, storks, and over 400 other bird species recorded here. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic spot before continuing your exploration. In the afternoon, return to Arusha to your lodge or transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
