Absolutely the Very Best Safari of a Life-time! - My Brother and I spent two weeks with Leo Safaris, in Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire game parks, and additionally visited the Olduvai Gorge Museum, a coffee plantation in Arusha, handicraft shopping and were treated to a wonderful farewell lunch. Leo Safari provided quality accommodations, and thoughtful service to suit our specific needs (as we are older travellers). Our Tour Guide, Leo, was always ready to go, is very knowledgeable of the terrain and the wildlife, gave us the benefit of her breadth and depth of knowledge, and is dedicated to this. As this was a tour just for my brother and I, we were not part of a larger group, and were catered to specifically. A once-in-a-lifetime dream come true. Asanteni Charles na Leo.

Highlight after Highlight - First we drove 1:45h to the Arusha National Park. The Drive was so quick because Charles and Leo told us everything about Tansania we asked for during the drive. They have a lot of knowledge so it never gets boring. As we arrived at the National Park we saw Giraffs, Elephants, Zebras, different kinda of monkeys, zumbas, dikdiks, Antilopes, Buffelos, and different kinds of Birds. It was a crazy cool experience to see all of that animals from so close of a distance! They say it's not guaranteed to see all of that but we had a good day I guess ;) We stopped everytime we wanted to and they even drove backwards if we thought we saw something 🤣 The Driver Leo was very skilled and was going quick from location to locatiok but stopping everytime there was something cool to see. They also had Lunch for us which was pretty good 🤙 It was an amazing day and everytime we thought the tour is over or this and that was the highlight they came with something even better. It was a very cool day and I think we need to support more small buisnisses like that. They even write books for childs which they gifted us :)

Great experience, friendly guide and guaranteed fun! - I have to say that this 2 day trip was spectacular. It was to Olduvai Gorge and Ngorongoro Crater. Leo is knowledgeable and friendly and has lots of experience. I have driven all over the world and I can affirm she is a safe and careful driver. This is a boutique safari and you get what you pay for: A customized trip that ensures satisfaction at a great value! Leo checks in with you regularly to make sure you’re happy and enjoying the tour. It’s obviously important to her that her clients are happy with their experience. So if you’re looking for a great value and guaranteed great tour, then book with Leo. My highlight? It was how organized everything was and no disappointments. And of course , the animals. Go Leo!!!

3 day Safari- Serengeti and Ngorogoro crater - I did an incredible three day safari with Leo. We travelled to Serengeti National Park and Ngorogoro crater. Thanks to Leo and her keen eye and thorough knowledge of animals, we were able to see so many animals. Highlights were seeing leopards, cheetahs, black rhinos, lions and elephants close up. Leo keeps the energy high with lots of singing and is full of stories- can’t recommend this enough!

The best safari ever - There is a very good reason using Safari by Leo for our second time in Tanzania. A perfect planning from beginning to the end. A good joy in the jeep bumping around on outback roads watching fantastic animals and scenery in Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Tarangire. Leo had a lot of patience and gave us time to watch the animals like we prefer to do it. In combination with cultural visits at a Masai village and school, hunting with a bush tribe early in the morning was very exciting and to visit a school classroom full of lovely energetic and interested children when Leo educated them in the use of menstruation pads was a excellent end of the day. Leo is a very good travel guide and excellent driver with great pondus. We could trust her completely. And she succeded to make every day of our 8 days safari surprising. We warmly recommend Safari by Leo Michael and Evis from Stockholm

Once-in-a-Lifetime Journey Made Unforgettable by Amazing People - Our experience with Safari by Leo was just perfect in every aspect! From the very beginning, when helping us organize the trip we had dreamed of, Charles and Leo have been absolutely amazing. We went on a 10-day trip that felt like a whole month because of everything we saw and experienced. It started in Moshi town and around the foothills of Kilimanjaro with Charles, which was a great introduction to Tanzania. Charles is truly passionate about his country and dedicated to sharing his knowledge and love for it in the best possible way. We then began our safari journey, starting with Lake Natron, which doesn’t seem to be very well known but turned out to be one of the real highlights of our trip. Our safari guide, Joseph, was simply incredible. He shared so much cultural and wildlife knowledge with us, always doing everything possible to make sure we saw as much as we could and had the best time imaginable. We crossed the Serengeti National Park from the northeast to the south, down to Ngorongoro and Tarangire, and that was an amazing choice! We managed to avoid most of the crowds and were lucky enough to witness the animal migration with enormous groups in the north. The diversity of landscapes we traveled through felt absolutely unreal, and it’s just a small glimpse of how vast and beautiful this country is. We chose to stay in mid-range accommodations, and they were far beyond our expectations! Sleeping four nights inside the park in tented lodges surrounded by wildlife was an unforgettable experience. This trip has truly been one of the best moments of our lives, and it’s all thanks to Leo, Charles, and Joseph, who made our adventure more than incredible. Leo and Charles are deeply committed to creating unique and customized experiences for their guests. I more than recommend booking your trip to Tanzania with them, not only because they are excellent at what they do, but also because they are wonderful people, dedicated to sharing their passion and making a positive impact in their community. Once again, Asante Sana and see you next time for new adventures in Tanzania! Quentin & Elise.

Best Safari experience ever! - We had a wonderful experience with Safari by Leo! Our adventure started with a warm airport pickup by Leo and Charles — we were singing and chatting all the way to our hotel. The next four days were spent with our amazing guide, Yusuf, who was incredibly professional, kind, and patient. He truly made the trip unforgettable — he knows all the best spots and ensured we experienced everything the safari had to offer. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to Tanzania! Thank you so much, Yusuf, Charles, and Leo, for making our vacation unforgettable. 🦁🌅

Awesome Safari Adventure Experience With Lady Safari Guide - For my safari adventure I chose Safari By Leo because they were mid ranged price which is the type of accommodations I wanted to stay in and this small but very personable company was able to develop a tour itinerary that catered to my chosen park sites. Leo is one of only a handful of female safari guide drivers in Tanzania while her husband Charles runs the cultural tours and most of the company’s administrative tasks including the excellent communications I had with them in advance of my tour. It turned out that Leo is as capable as any male driver when it came to driving a standard shift safari vehicle through some of the bumpiest roads I’ve ever come across when we were touring through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro areas. She also demonstrated her high skills in spotting wildlife as we were able to see four of the Big Five animals on the first game drive day and got the fifth on day two. Of course we saw many other amazing animals plus two river crossings since I went during the Great Migration season. She also knows her animals as not only was she able to answer any questions I fired at her but she often gave me interesting details of each species we came across as well as other facts about the region. I can tell that Leo was well respected within the safari guide community as she and other guides out in the field communicated regularly with each other throughout our game drives regarding wildlife sightings on the go. Although these were long days, Leo always got us safely back to the various lodges which themselves turned out to be very comfortable accommodations with ensuite private bathrooms. The food at all of the lodges Safari By Leo booked me in was surprisingly good so definitely not camp food. As an added option, I booked a balloon ride through Safari By Leo and it was a very unique and special experience despite the steep cost charged by the balloon operator. I would totally recommend Safari By Leo for any safari adventure in Tanzania and I’m already thinking of doing another one with them again in the future.

Outstanding experience with wonderful guide - This was absolutely one of the best trips I have ever done. I’ve done safaris in South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia, and I think for the variety of landscapes and animal sightings Tanzania was the best. We saw so much in just a few days, including the big five and also cheetahs, which I hadn’t seen on any previous safari. We got very close to most animals including numerous lion prides and one male lion even lay down and rested his head on our car tire. Then came the cultural part of the tour which was the highlight for me - I’ve seen many animals before, but to go on an early morning hunt with one of the last remaining hunter gatherer tribes on earth was something truly special that made me feel a connection to humanity’s deep ancestral past. The food and accommodation was all great, and I cannot say enough nice things about Leo - she is a fantastic guide who is knowledgeable, skilled, friendly, and just lovely to be around. She is excellent at finding the animals and we would not have seen a third of what we saw if we had tried to self drive this tour (and we would no doubt have got lost a few times 😄 ). Overall, if you want a full safari experience combined with a dive into rare cultures that could be gone in a few generations, you cannot do better than this trip.
