Later, proceed to Flamingo Safari Lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, join your guide to explore medicinal plants, observe various bird species, and watch waterfalls cascading down cliffs. Discover the impressive elephant caves and, with some luck, spot other wildlife such as buffalo, elephants, baboons, and different reptiles in the forest. Return to Karatu for an overnight stay at Panorama Inn.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Following breakfast, set off for Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s most celebrated park. It hosts large herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephants and giraffes, and countless eland, topi, kongoni, impala, and Grant’s gazelle throughout the year. Lions and leopards are easily spotted. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive in the breathtaking Serengeti. Later, have dinner and stay overnight at Serengeti Wild Camp.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive within the crater. This is the premier location in Tanzania to observe black rhinos and prides of lions, including the majestic black-maned males. The area is teeming with colorful flamingos and a variety of water birds. Other wildlife sightings may include leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, various antelope species, and small mammals. Conclude your journey by returning to Usa River.
