Moshi to Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

Mount Kilimanjaro - On this day we drive from Moshi to Marangu Gate (1-2 hours), once we arrive we complete park registration and begin trekking to Mandara Hut (2,720m).

Hike through the rainforest and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

We will reach Mandara Hut in the late afternoon, rest, and relax.

Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

Mount Kilimanjaro - After breakfast, we will trek through the heath and moorland zone, enjoying spectacular views of Kilimanjaro’s summit.

We’ll reach Horombo Hut (3,720m) in the afternoon, where we can rest and acclimatize to the altitude.

Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

Mount Kilimanjaro - After breakfast, we’ll hike through the alpine desert zone toward Kibo Hut (4,703m).

We’ll enjoy stunning views of the summit as we climb towards the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.

We’ll reach Kibo Hut in the late afternoon, where we can rest and prepare for the summit attempt.

Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut

Kilimanjaro National Park - We will wake up around midnight for a light breakfast and begin the summit attempt.

We’ll trek through the night under the stars, climbing toward the peak of Uhuru (5,895m).

We’ll reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise, take in the stunning views, and celebrate our achievement.

We’ll descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing down to Horombo Hut (3,720m).

We’ll reach Horombo Hut in the late afternoon, where we can rest and celebrate our successful climb.

Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate to Moshi

Kilimanjaro National Park - After breakfast, we’ll descend through the rainforest zone toward Marangu Gate.

We’ll complete park formalities and receive our summit certificate.

We’ll meet our driver and return to Moshi.
