Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a representative (Driver/Guide) from KIHINDO TOURS AND SAFARIS will greet you and drive you to Arusha for a brief coffee break. Following this, you will proceed to Tarangire National Park with packed lunches. The journey to Tarangire National Park is approximately 110 km and takes about 2 hours from Arusha. Tarangire National Park is renowned for its large elephant herds, as well as lions and leopards, and offers excellent birdwatching opportunities. The park features diverse landscapes and wildlife, with water sources from both the swamp and the Tarangire River. During the dry season, it becomes the main water source for animals in the area, providing exceptional viewing opportunities. You will enjoy your lunch in the park at a picnic site selected by your driver guide, and then continue with the game drive. In the evening, you will arrive at your next lodge in time for dinner at KARATU.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast today, you will drive to the renowned Serengeti. The drive takes about 3 to 4 hours, with game viewing along the way, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You have the option to visit a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands, where you can meet the Elders, Warriors, women, and children, and learn about the culture, beliefs, and traditions of Tanzania’s last nomadic tribe.
The Serengeti is vast, roughly the size of Switzerland. Depending on the month, most safari visitors explore the central area and one other area, either the north during the dry season for the Mara crossings or the west during the green season for the migration herds that spread from the central area to the Grumeti River, or Ndutu during the “bridge” season between the “short rains” of November/December. The central Serengeti is famous for its “endless plains,” dotted with acacia trees and occasional rocky kopjes. Dinner and overnight stay at Tanzania Luxury Bush Camp.
Serengeti Full Day
Serengeti National Park - Today, enjoy another full day of game drives in Central Serengeti. Central Serengeti is known for its expansive open spaces, where you can drive through miles of animals as far as the eye can see, riverine forests, and leopards. There is a good chance of spotting leopards along the river valleys, as well as wildebeest spread over a large area. You will enjoy a hot lunch served in the middle of the bush, featuring a welcome refreshment, a delicious three-course meal, and soft drinks. After lunch, continue with the game drive en route to Ngorongoro, where you will stay overnight.
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.
Ngorongoro Crater and Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater - Today, experience a full day of game drives in the Ngorongoro Crater. This crater is the world’s largest intact collapsed caldera (volcano) and serves as a self-contained ecosystem with its own unique wildlife population in a confined area of incredible variety. The crater is home to numerous lions, hyenas, fantastic birdlife, servals, Cape buffalo, zebras, and stunning landscapes. There is also a chance to see rhinos if you are fortunate.
You will have lunch in the Crater and then continue with the game drive. In the late afternoon, you will return to Arusha for your final safari night.
