Even outside this season, the area is famous for its resident cheetah populations and large prides of lions. Serengeti National Park - After an early breakfast, set off on a game drive as you leave Ndutu and travel further north into the heart of the Serengeti National Park. The landscape gradually shifts from open plains to the classic Serengeti savannah, dotted with kopjes (ancient granite rock formations). Continue your game drive en route to your next camp, stopping for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot. The Central Serengeti (Seronera Valley) is the park’s richest wildlife area, known for its high density of leopards and lions, who often use the kopjes as lookout points.
