• Mikumi National Park - Mikumi National Park is situated adjacent to the Northern boundary of Africa’s largest Game Reserve - the SELOUS - creating a distinctive ecosystem. The vast expanses and rich fauna of the Mkata Floodplain, Mikumi’s stylish showpiece, often draw parallels to the renowned Serengeti Plains. Here, lions with spots can be seen overseeing their verdant domain, while herds of Zebra, Giraffes, Elephants, Wildebeest, Impala, and Buffalo roam throughout the park.

The excursion commences at Zanzibar airport at 07h00, with an arrival at Mikumi Airstrip by 08h00, where you’ll be greeted by our safari guide. Immediately, you’ll embark on a game drive to explore the wildlife-dense Mkata plains. This area is well-known for its high density of animals. Additionally, you’ll visit the renowned Hippo pool, a popular spot for these creatures to hydrate.

A warm meal will be served at midday, followed by further exploration of the African wilderness before heading back to the airstrip around 15h30 for your return flight to Zanzibar.
