Experience of a lifetime, Kilimanjaro + Safari (Ngorongoro, Tangerine), July 2025 - We just got back to Croatia from our 6-day trekking adventure (Marangu Route). Everything was beyond perfect! If I were to do it all over again, I would have picked the same agency with the same guides. Everyone was so professional and helpful and fun. Emmanuel and Happyson answered all of our questions, were there when we needed them and they prepared us for the final ascend perfectly. No one was left behind. I was a bit slower than the rest of the group because of heavy breathing but I never felt like giving up especially because Emmanuel and Frankie were with me every step of the way cheering me on and I will forever be grateful for those moments. After conquering Mt.Kilimanjaro, 2-day safari was waiting for us. It went smoothly, our driver Benjamin was on time every morning and he explained everything we wanted to know about animals and more. Unforgettable Kilimanjaro Experience – Incredible Team and Adventure! - I recently completed the 6-day Marangu route climb on Mount Kilimanjaro, and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! The entire journey was filled with adventure, stunning landscapes, and a level of support that exceeded all expectations. Our guides were absolutely amazing. From the very beginning, they provided us with clear and helpful information each day, always making sure we felt prepared and confident. There were several guides with us at all times, setting the perfect pace and offering constant encouragement. The summit night was the most challenging part of the climb, but they were incredible—keeping spirits high with songs, offering warm snacks and tea, and even giving us massages during breaks to help us stay warm and motivated. The porters were just as outstanding. They ensured all our belongings reached our huts before we did and were always kind, cheerful, and helpful. The organization and professionalism of the entire crew made the experience smooth and stress-free. A special mention to the food—it was delicious, nutritious, and kept us energized throughout the climb. It’s hard to believe such quality meals could be prepared in those conditions! I can’t recommend this experience enough. If you’re thinking of climbing Kilimanjaro, do it—and if you’re lucky enough to have a team like ours, you’ll come away with memories you’ll treasure forever.

They treated us like family. - This was the most unreal experience and the biggest achievement of my life. The whole crew was incredibly hospitable and welcoming. They motivated us every step of the way. Especially Emmauel, without whose positive energy I don't believe I would have made it especially on summit night which is the most physically draining and mentally challenging day yet the most fulfilling one. They treated us like family and the food was to die for. I really need the recipe to those soups. The porters were the sweetest people I have met and they went out of their way to take care of us. Overall, I cannot recommend them enough.

Thank you for amazing experience - Starting from arrival was feeling that guys are realy looking after you and make sure that your experience in a Tanzania is the best. Team was AMAZING! During all climb they were not just supporting you but also making sure we have fun. Jackson And Amy was outstanding and made this journey even better.

Not a pleasant final/summit day - at all. And dreadful emergency car down. - Until the last day, this was a well-run hike. But then the last day descended into chaos. There were no scheduled breaks, we had to argue with the staff every time we wanted to stop and rest, and the the staff stood around mKing us feel uncomfortable. When we reached Gilman’s Point, exhausted after 6 1/2 hours, Clinton would not let me take a 5 minute break until I argued with him. It was very frustrating, and the need to argue added to the exhaustion. They split the party in two which meant I was alone with the guide - I also thought this was wrong. It took the enjoyment away from what should have been a mind blowing experience. I wouldn’t recommend this company at all. Later, I had to be taken down in an “emergency” van which was packed full of workers - not sick people.

Unprofessional Crew and is this even Africa Joy? - It was clear as soon as I got the the mountain that this was not the best tour operator. First of all, they showed up to my hotel 30 mins late and didn’t bother to tell me they would be late. I had to contact them. We then get to the park, check in, and I am just waiting there. The same company had a day tour that got there 20 mins after me and started 30 minutes before. The owner looked confused and asked why I was standing there. I said the guide told me to wait there. Within 5 mins he seemed to find the guide and we started. The food was fine along the way. I found it very strange how every other tour guide did a Blood Oxygen check every night but mine never bothered. I talked to another guide and he said that he thought it was very strange. The huts and hike it self are beautiful. After we started to go down the mountain the lead guide started to be 200-300ish yards behind me. Who knows what he was doing but definitely not being the guide. After we finished I told them I needed money for tip so we stopped at an ATM. I tipped out more than the suggested amount and still 2 of the members of the crew complained. Talk about unprofessional! I always stunned. Also, another bizarre thing was when I looked at my receipt with the national park it says my tour operator was a complaint called Uprise Africa Tours. The site here says Africa Joy. Very concerning consuming let’s say a family member needed to contact me. I’m assuming the park would say there is no Africa Joy on the park. Another random thing was they got caught speeding to and from the park! When I get back and complain to Viator they really didn’t seem to care. I would never come back and use this company or Viator anymore.
