Best week of our lives!! - Two of us went with Nafika Tours on the 7 day Lemosho route in the middle of May, and let me just say it was the best week of our lives. Almost all in thanks to the Nafika crew. We started planning our Kili adventure back in January, and were recommended Nafika by a friend’s neighbour (to whom we are so grateful!) who has gone with them to do Kilimanjaro 5 years in a row! Elias was so helpful in answering any and all of our many questions in the lead up to the trip, and was incredibly reassuring and helpful in providing as much detailed info as possible about what to bring, the weather, the layout of the trip, and how to make payment. We had two amazing and super-friendly guides, Efatha & Justin, who went at the perfect pace for us and knew when we needed to stop and take breaks and who also told us so much about the landscapes and everything you need to know about Kili. We were in safe hands, and when I hurt my knee after the first day, they were quick to bring about first aid and help. When we were doing the summit night and our moods were low, the guides knew exactly how to cheer us up; by singing beautiful songs in Swahili and Chaga (their tribe around Kilimanjaro). It was just what we needed to motivate ourselves to hike on. Shoutout to Riziki who joined our guides with us for summit night as extra help. When he pulled out the hot flask of ginger tea in the middle of the night on the freezing cold mountain, wow we were so grateful and relieved!! We had read on Reddit to bring your own snacks and nice food as some of the meals could be sparse, but that couldn’t have been further from the truth in our case. Our chef, Anodi, cooked us delicious hot breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, in many cases with a three course meal! We often couldn’t finish our meals (which we truly felt very bad about!! but high altitude side-effects are no joke). Every morning we were woken up by the lovely Wzd, who prepped us coffee and was so helpful with filling up our water bottles and getting us anything we needed. We were in awe of the rest of the crew who carried the tents, our bags, sleeping bags, portable toilet (which are honestly such a treat!) and everything in between. They were never without a smile on their face, and anything we needed they were quick to help us with. Shoutout to Said, Eric, Nelson, Dula, & Wolfgang who made our experience a once-in-a-lifetime trip and we are so grateful for their hard work and making this trip much more memorable. We played cards on the last night and learned loads of new words in Swahili, as well as had such a laugh after the exhaustion of reaching the summit! And a special mention to Brian who picked us up from and dropped us to the airport all on time, as well as taking us to the beginning and end of our hike. He was our first point of contact in Tanzania and he told us loads about the local Masaai tribe :) In this case it really wasn’t about reaching the Uhuru Peak, but rather the conversations and people we met along the way, thanks to Nafika Tours. All going well, we will be back next year for the Kilimanjaro marathon and to take on Mount Kilimanjaro again, and we hope to bring friends along with us too. Thanks so much to the Nafika Tours crew <3

An Unforgettable Kilimanjaro & Safari Experience with Nafika Tours - Nafika Tours is truly an outstanding local company! From the very beginning, every interaction I had with the Nafika team was warm and professional. Elias planned my itinerary perfectly and was always quick, kind, and helpful in his responses. All the drivers were friendly and supportive, happily stopping along the way for things like ATM visits or finding sunscreen. I started my trip with Safari, Ronald was an excellent guide who made the experience unforgettable. Even in a short time, we were lucky to see lions, a leopard, and a special moment with elephants. His knowledge and passion for wildlife really brought the safari to life. And then, Kilimanjaro joined a small open group climb led by Benson and Lodgard, guiding our group of five. They created such a positive and supportive atmosphere, working seamlessly together as a team. Each guide brought something unique, and their leadership made the journey feel safe and enjoyable. The food was always fresh, hot, and delicious. My vegetarian request was handled with great care. Abel’s thoughtful service bringing coffee and warm water to the tent every day made a big difference and was deeply appreciated. The equipment, including tents and mattresses, was comfortable and reliable. I was also truly amazed by the porters their strength, dedication, and positive spirit made everything look effortless. Climbing Kilimanjaro felt like a shared journey, and reaching the summit together made it even more special. I’m very grateful I chose Nafika Tours. Every person I met contributed to such a meaningful and memorable experience, far beyond what I expected. Tutaonana baadaye 😊

Unforgettable Kilimanjaro Experience with Nafika Tours — Truly Above and Beyond! - If you are considering trekking Mount Kilimanjaro, look no further than Nafika Tours, they are simply outstanding! From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless, and the team went above and beyond to make our 7-day Lemosho Route trek truly unforgettable. Our guides, Inocent and Frenk, were exceptional. Their knowledge, encouragement, and passion for the mountain kept us motivated every step of the way, and thanks to them, every member of our group successfully reached the summit. They shared stories and insights along the journey that made the experience even more meaningful. A special mention also goes to our assistant guide, Maximilian he has all the qualities of a future chief guide! The support team was just as amazing. Denis, our waiter, brought so much positive energy and humor to every mealtime. Our chef, Anold, worked wonders at high altitude, preparing delicious and nourishing meals that kept us strong throughout the trek. We are also very grateful to Said, our tent master, who always ensured we had the best camp setups in great locations, and to Tokyo, our porter, whose constant smile and uplifting spirit made each day brighter. What truly sets Nafika Tours apart is their strong commitment to ethical trekking. As a local company, they genuinely care about their team, porters and guides are well treated, properly equipped, and supported with good meals and fair conditions. You can really feel the respect and unity within the team. This was more than just a climb , it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. 10/10 — highly recommended!

Would give 6 stars if I could - Planning and communication: Elias was very helpful in answering any questions we had, and he was very responsive! We had many questions around the best route during the rainy season - they made sure to provide us with the right information so that we could make an informed decision. Elias offered additional support in arranging travel/driver logistics! Guides: our guides Innocent and Benson were the best complimentary duo! They were very knowledgeable and they struck the right balance of staying professional and always keeping spirits positive and energising. We both suffered from nausea and headaches due to the altitude, but they made sure to monitor our symptoms closely - down to our daily water and food intake. We felt incredibly safe in their hands! Crew: the most incredible crew! The crew have made the 7 days as comfortable and luxurious as a Kilimanjaro climb can be. Everyone was warm and friendly - always delivered on positive vibes and high energy! Couldn’t have asked for a better crew to spend a week with! Food: chef Arnold was incredible! He somehow managed to make unique meals every single time. Not sure how this was possible when there’s limited cooking appliances - but he made it happen. We both lost our appetite and had continuous nausea from day 3, to help with the nausea chef Arnold prepared fresh ginger tea for us every afternoon, and even asked us what we wanted to eat/could stomach given the nausea. The team even took note of a local dish we mentioned we really like and had chef Arnold prepare it for our final lunch - the attention to detail!! Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better tour provider. We wanted to make sure that we selected a provider that was locally owned which was why we selected Nafika initially. After spending 7 days with the crew, hands down couldn’t recommend them enough!

Thank you for fulfilling your dream - It's very important who's going to be around the whole way! Quite by chance, stumbled across Nafiq's tour company. The meeting realized we wanted to ascend with them, as the manager's sincere smile would not leave his face. They didn't miss. They were in touch during the gathering and helped with the selection of equipment and answered all questions. His team surrounded the whole way with care, comfort and a charge of positivity. We didn't even expect such a service - delicious food in abundance, a one-room tent, if lunch was caught in transit, we set up a table and chairs with a hot lunch. Every day, the chef offered a choice of dishes. Every morning the doctor made a checkup. Every minute, the whole team was motivated to keep going! We always had hot water to wash, we were drying things. And the freshener in the toilet tent, that's the top! They've really thought it through, the tourist will only have to accept it and rise. Just before the summit, I had an uncontrollable tantrum, Mashake and Efate (our guides) helped me calm down and not turn around. Definitely recommend Nafika tour and thank them from the bottom of my heart! Because thanks to them, we rose and flew with a huge baggage of emotions!

Amazing Kili Summit Experience! - Thank you so much to Nafika Tours for the trip of a lifetime! The entire experience was very well organized and made the challenge of getting to the top that much easier. From airport pickup to drop-off, the team was very professional and super fun and friendly. We did the 7-day Lemosho route. Every day started with hot tea/coffee in the tent, warm washcloths to clean up, a health check, and a very filling hearty breakfast. The team provided snacks for us every day, and set up the full lunch tent at the halfway points of each day so we could be comfortable (it was pretty rainy and cold at times on our trip). When we arrived at camp every afternoon, the tents were all set up with sleeping bags and packs ready for us (and more hot tea of course). The tents themselves were very spacious and sturdy. We also used the mats and sleeping bags they provided, which were very warm even at Barafu camp. Our guides (Efata and Mesha) were also amazing, providing positive vibes, motivation, and showing their experience. Every evening ended with a detailed rundown of the next day, including what to wear and what challenges to expect. This made it very easy to be prepared. The crew went above and beyond when it came to safety as well - when one of us was experiencing altitude sickness symptoms at the summit, the porter team rushed up to help him down the mountain quickly before it became serious. All in all, we could not have had this amazing experience without Nafika Tours. Highly recommend!

Fantastic kilimanjaro & Safari - My 27 year old daughter and I went on: 4 day safari and then climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with Nafika Tours , and this local outfitter do these excursions in the best of the best way .Nafika Tours exceeded our expectations constantly…..day after day after day. From the moment we began to inquire about the trip, when we dealt with Elias , everything was as smooth as silk. A solid guy who made sure we had everything we needed to get things rolling smoothly. Then the safari, with a fabulous guide named Octavian , was top-notch. He was extremely knowledgeable and lots of fun. The accommodations after each day on safari far exceeded our expectations and we saw many many animals including the big five and migration. And the team Nafika Tours assembled for the climb was awesome. The staff, their preparations, and positive atmosphere they created throughout the daily grind of the climb made it easy and comfortable for everyone. Food and equipment tents, provided by Nafika Tours was of good quality. Food was more than enough and more delicious more than that we are having in our home. They made us believe that we would definitely reach the summit…and we all did! Truly an unforgettable experience that was made absolutely amazing by Nafika Tours .
