Arrival in Arusha

Arusha Region - The bush adventure begins the moment you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. A friendly transfer driver will escort you to your chosen accommodation for the night. Spend the afternoon resting or relaxing by the pool. The operations team will meet with you to check your equipment and provide a comprehensive briefing on what to expect during your safari. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Fune Retreat Resort, The Africa Tulip Hotel, or SG Hotel & Spa.

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and driven to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds. The park’s sparse vegetation creates a stunning and unique setting, where up to 300 elephants can be seen searching for underground streams in the dry riverbeds. Migratory wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo also gather around the shrinking lagoons. Enjoy an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch.

Overnight stay at Tarangire National Park at the Tarangire Sopa Lodge, Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge, Tarangire Tortilis Camp, Burunge Tented Lodge, or Pamoja Lodge.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park - In the morning, travel to Lake Manyara National Park, situated within the Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara offers a breathtaking setting, famous for its tree-climbing lions and soda-ash lake. The park is an ideal introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. The lake’s shores, adorned with pink flamingos, attract over 400 bird species, many of which are waterfowl or migrants.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, head to one of Africa’s most renowned game parks, the Serengeti! Known for hosting one of the world’s most incredible wildlife spectacles – the great migration of wildebeest and zebra – the Serengeti’s vast plains are also home to a variety of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and other predators. Enjoy an afternoon game drive.

Overnight stay in the Serengeti at Serengeti Dove Lodge, Serengeti Safari Lodge, or Lobo Wildlife Lodge.

Serengeti National Park full day

Serengeti National Park - Today, enjoy a full day in the Serengeti. Rise early for a morning game drive and witness the sunrise at Serengeti National Park. Spot lions and other predators on their morning hunt. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive.

Overnight stay in the Serengeti at Serengeti Dove Lodge, Serengeti Safari Lodge, or Lobo Wildlife Lodge.

Ngorongoro - Olduvai Gorge & Laetoli

Olduvai Gorge Museum - Begin with an early morning game drive, then depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Olduvai Gorge, rich in history dating back to ancient times. Here, anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, significant links in human evolution. In the late afternoon, transfer to your Lodge/Tented Camp for dinner and overnight (HB) at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge, Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp, Ngorongoro Farm House, Ngorongoro Wild Camp, or Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

Ngorongoro Crater then to Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater - After an early breakfast, descend over 600 meters into the crater to observe wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area hosts a vast array of animals, including herds of wildebeest, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. In the late afternoon, transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight at Fune Retreat Resort, The Africa Tulip Hotel, SG Hotel & Spa, or Seven Skies Hotel.

Drop off at Arusha or JRO Airport for onward journey.

Arusha Region - After breakfast, a representative from Kim’zebra Adventures & Safaris will transfer you to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight to Zanzibar, should you choose to extend your tour, or to Dar es Salaam for your onward flight home. Please inform us at the time of booking if you wish to arrange a short tour after your safari, such as a Zanzibar Excursion or Arusha/Moshi Day Trip.
