Arusha to Tarangire National Park, 130 kilometers drive - two hours
Serengeti National Park - After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, the journey begins early towards Tarangire National Park. As the third largest park in Tanzania, it is renowned for its impressive elephant herds. The iconic Baobab trees and the ever-flowing Tarangire River, which sustains the park’s wildlife, are notable features. Numerous animals, both predators and prey, gather around the river, offering excellent opportunities for game viewing. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Panorama campsite.
Tarangire - Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Breakfast is served at 07:30 am, followed by a pick-up from the camp at 08:00 am to head to the magnificent Serengeti National Park with a packed picnic lunch. The journey includes game drives en route via the Ngorongoro Crater rim. The Serengeti is home to a diverse range of wildlife including lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, elands, wild dogs, gazelles, and crocodiles. It is celebrated for its comprehensive and engaging presentations on nature, conservation, and research. The park is globally renowned for its majestic lions and the spectacular great migration. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Seronera campsite.
Central Serengeti
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, continue with both morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. This is a migration safari, and the vastness of the Serengeti means game drives will follow the movement of the migrating herds, expertly guided by knowledgeable guides. The park is famous for the ‘Great Migration’, where over a million wildebeests and more than two hundred thousand zebras annually follow the rains. From October to November, they travel from the northern mountains southwards to the plains in search of lush pastures. After the rainy season in April, May, and June, the herds make their return journey. Even without the mass migration, the Serengeti remains an exciting and captivating destination. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Seronera campsite.
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - After an early morning game drive and lunch, the journey continues to Ngorongoro. The driver guide will provide insights into the animals and natural beauty of Tanzania en route to Ngorongoro Crater, describing the wildlife along the way.
The night will be spent on the crater rim, with dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite.
Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara
Lake Manyara - The day begins early at 07:00 am with a game drive (including a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater for a 5-6 hour exploration. Due to the crater’s 2000 ft. high walls, few animals migrate in and out, allowing sightings of lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, numerous birds, and other species. The driver/guide, in contact with other safari drivers, will skillfully locate hidden animals. After exploring Ngorongoro Crater, the journey continues to Fanaka campsite for dinner and overnight stay.
Lake Manyara to Arusha
Arusha Region - After breakfast at the campsite, continue with a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park with a packed lunch. The lake occupies a large area of the park, with the forest beginning just beyond the park gate along the base of the Great Rift Valley and hot springs to the west. The park is home to tree-climbing lions, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, baboon troops, flamingos, ostriches, Egyptian geese, and more. After a picnic lunch, proceed with afternoon game drives. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel.
Arusha National Park
Arusha - Depart from Arusha in the morning with a private guide and travel to Arusha National Park, a brief 40-minute drive from Arusha town. The park boasts an incredible variety of flora and fauna that is sure to impress. Hollywood chose this region to film “Hatari!” starring Hardy Kruger and the legendary John Wayne. The day trip includes a visit to the Ngurdoto Crater, affectionately known as the “Little Ngorongoro”. Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, and zebras can be seen year-round, along with many bird species.
Later, return to Arusha in the evening.
On the final day of the tour, guests will be dropped off at the airport.
Note: The safari uses 4-WD Land Cruisers with viewing roofs, accommodating 4 to 6 passengers. The guides are licensed, trained, friendly, and have years of experience.
