Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park - Begin the day with breakfast, then travel to Lake Manyara with packed lunches from Keys Hotel for a game drive. The Manyara Region is named after Lake Manyara, a significant lake formed by the ancient Great Rift Valley. It is the only region in Tanzania divided by the Great Rift Valley. This lake is a crucial water source for wildlife, playing a vital role in the ecosystems of Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and Tarangire National Park. Additionally, Lake Manyara is the largest breeding ground in the country for tens of thousands of flamingos.
Manyara- Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro highlands, pausing briefly for registration at the gate before proceeding to the Crater viewpoint. Here, enjoy breathtaking views of the Crater floor from above and take some photos before descending the 600-meter-high walls into the Crater floor for a full-day game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is often called the Eden of Africa due to its stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. Large mammals and plains animals thrive in this natural sanctuary. Lunch will be enjoyed on the Crater floor. Expect to see herds of wildebeest, eland, zebra, hippos, African elephants, gazelles, and the rare black rhino in their natural environment. The dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and the elusive leopard, is another major attraction in this vast caldera.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, head to Serengeti National Park with packed lunches for a full-day game drive. Established in 1952, Serengeti National Park in Tanzania hosts the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle—the great migration of wildebeest and zebra. The park also boasts an impressive resident population of lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and birds. A wide range of accommodations is available, from luxury lodges to mobile camps. Covering 5,700 square miles (14,763 square kilometers), the park is larger than Connecticut, with only a few hundred vehicles exploring the area.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. The camp is situated in a picturesque location along the Nyabogati River, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in nature with a variety of Serengeti birds and wildlife nearby. The area is adorned with acacia trees, providing the perfect setting to watch the sunset behind distant hills. Embalakai Camp features 13 spacious tents that can be arranged for single, double, triple, or family occupancy. The camp can accommodate groups of up to 30 people and offers netted bedding for babies upon request. The rooms are designed to provide ultimate comfort for guests.
Serengeti National Park - Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - After breakfast, drive to Tarangire with a game drive en route. Spend the night in Tarangire. From the elegant wooden central platform where the Lake Burunge Tented Lodge restaurant is located, guests can watch the lakeshore and observe animals coming to drink water. The camp is strategically positioned in the natural corridor between Manyara and Tarangire, ensuring a spectacular view of the migration. It is located just 10 minutes from the park entrance known as Sangaiwe. This camp is the perfect place to relax in comfort after a day of game drives in Tarangire, enjoying the breeze and the colors of the African sunset from a private terrace.
Tarangire National Park - Moshi Town
Moshi - Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives before returning to Moshi/Arusha. Tarangire National Park is named after the Tarangire River, which originates in the highlands of central Tanzania and winds through the game sanctuary. During the dry season, the river attracts herds of plains migrants from the surrounding parched areas to its shrunken but permanent brackish waters. Thousands of animals, including wildebeest, zebra, eland, elephants, hartebeest, buffalo, and fringe-eared oryx, migrate from as far north as the shores of Lake Natron, dramatically increasing the resident population. As the dry days persist, the Tarangire’s pools become crowded with thirsty migrants, and elephants begin to dig for underground streams in the dry riverbed.
