Tarangire National Park - Begin your adventure with a 7:30 AM pickup from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, heading to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing with a picnic lunch. As Tanzania’s third-largest national park, it is renowned for its impressive baobab trees that tower over the wildlife below. The Tarangire River is the heart of this park, famous for hosting some of Africa’s largest elephant herds. You might also encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, lesser kudu, buffalo, oryx, eland, giraffes, and zebras. After the game drive, return to your camp or lodge for a delightful dinner.

Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Enjoy a game drive in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the world’s largest caldera teeming with wildlife. The grass steppes and acacia forests shelter nearly all species found in the East African savannah. During a few hours of game driving, you may spot the “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard). After extensive wildlife viewing and a picnic in the crater, depart the Ngorongoro highlands in the afternoon and proceed to the Serengeti. Soon, you’ll witness the vast plains of the southern Serengeti and reach the Seronera Valley in the central Serengeti.

Full Day Game Drive in Central Serengeti

Serengeti National Park - Choose between a leisurely breakfast followed by a full day of game drives starting at 9:00 AM with a packed lunch, returning to the lodge by late afternoon around 6:00 PM, or an early morning game drive departing at 6:00 AM. Afterward, return for breakfast, relax, and embark on an afternoon game drive with a packed lunch. Today, explore the central Serengeti National Park, famed for its remarkable lion and leopard populations.

Central Serengeti

Serengeti National Park - The central Serengeti, known as the Seronera area, is one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats. The Seronera River provides a crucial water source, attracting a diverse array of wildlife representative of the Serengeti’s species. During the migration off-season, keep an eye out for the numerous lion prides thriving in this region. Their interactions and survival offer an exceptional game viewing experience year-round. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the full day game drive, concluding around 5 PM. The day ends with a hearty dinner and a restful night at your accommodation.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - Widely regarded as the world’s most impressive wildlife sanctuary, the Serengeti offers an afternoon game drive across its endless plains. Witness the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, or a pride of lions resting in the shade. A picnic lunch will be part of the day-long game drive. The exciting day concludes with a hearty dinner and a restful night at your accommodation.

Serengeti National Park – Arusha Town/ Moshi

Serengeti National Park - If time permits, embark on a final early morning game drive. After a satisfying breakfast at the lodge, your guide will escort you to the airstrip. Here, bid farewell and board a small aircraft for your return to Arusha.

This 6-day safari offers an opportunity to witness most of Africa’s Big Five. It’s perfect for those with a limited budget and time, as well as bird enthusiasts. The adventure begins with a visit to Tarangire National Park, known for its abundant bird species, elephants, and the possibility of spotting lions and other predators. On the second day, the journey continues to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where visitors can see the world’s largest un-flooded and unbroken caldera. At Ngorongoro Crater, there is a unique opportunity to observe black rhinos and other major predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Following the Ngorongoro tour, the safari proceeds to Serengeti National Park, home to the largest populations of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and many other animals in Tanzania. After the game drive in Tarangire National Park, transportation back to Moshi will be provided.
