Amazing experience - We have just returned from a wonderful safari with Meru slopes. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Right from my first contact with Gift who arranged our trip, the communication was fantastic. The tour felt well organised. We opted for the mid range safari and the tented camps were very comfortable and welcoming. The food was amazing and the rooms were spacious with private bathrooms. Our guide was Nuru. He is friendly and very knowledgeable about the animals and the area. He arranged our itinerary and was fantastic at being in the right place to see the most popular animals. He managed our different interests very well, mine is photography and my husband enjoys birdwatching. He has extensive knowledge of birds. His driving skills and professionalism was outstanding. Book a trip with a local company and ask for Nuru!

One of the most incredible experiences of my life. - One of the most incredible experiences of my life. We spent one day in Tarangire, three days between Serengeti and Ndutu to witness the Great Migration, and one day in Ngorongoro, and everything was perfect. Our guide, Salehe, was extremely knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and made us feel in excellent hands—much of this amazing experience is thanks to him. The locations were stunning, and even in the tented lodges within the parks, the services and staff were top-notch. The organization was flawless, and everyone was very accommodating, even to needs that went beyond the safari itself.

Highly recommend Meru Slopes for a brilliant safari experience - This was our first safari experience and first time in Africa. From early planning stages Meru Slopes were very communicative and quick to address any questions or concerns. They made life very easy by arranging airport transfers from Kilimanjaro and accommodation in Arusha before and after safari. Our guide, Jacob, made the safari experience incredible! He was extremely knowledgeable on both wildlife and the national parks themselves. He was very diligent and had a brilliant eye for spotting animals, ensuring that we saw both the Big Five and the Ugly Five as well as a Wildebeest Migration and Cheetahs. Jacob was a great host during our time on safari with a brilliant sense of humour.

5 day camping Safari - Our driver Loi was amazing, so knowledgeable about all the animals & birds. He knew all the right places to go to have the best chance of seeing them all. Gideon, our cook, was a character too & made the best of limited ingredients & cooking facilities at the public camps. The Arusha Inn, where we stayed the night before & after the safari could do with renovation. The Serengeti camp, when we visited, had no electricity, no hot showers & no lights in the dining building. This was not ideal but you learn to make the most of the experience. The lions roaring in the night made up for this!! The last camp was far better, with hot showers & plenty of light! The animals - just Wow!! We were lucky to see the big 5, the 2nd Wildebeest migration, loads of lion cubs, huge families of elephants, giraffes, hippos, and zebra after zebra, plus a cheetah or two. A truly amazing experience.

Simply the best! - We made a 5 days safari visiting Tarangire, the Serengeti with the Great Migration and the Ngorongoro crater. We got not only the Big Five, but other uncountable animals as well. We spotted also three different leopards and a big lion just after its hunting. We have also seen the great migration in the right point at the right time, waiting just few minutes before crossing. And all of this thanks to Lobulu, our guide, who is amazing, both professionally and personally speaking. This DELINQUENTE (he knows what we mean ) has made our few days truly unforgettable, laughing together but also giving a deep explanation for each animal. We trusted him at 100% on where to go and when, and it's always been worth it. He's friend of almost everybody, and this is so important when finding animals since he always get the right suggestion. I cannot not mention Geofrey, who organized our itinerary perfectly. We got in touch before our arrival and all our doubts have been clarified perfectly. I want to say thank you to all the Meru Slopes team, which is in my opinion the best company if you are seeking for a safari trip. Choose them and you won't regret it, you will have the best days of your life.

Great safari experience, rexommended - We had 5 days private safari (Tarangiri, 3 days of Serengeti and Ngorongoro crator) with lodge hotels, which went great. Trip planning was smooth, as communication with Geofrey was fast through the email and safari plan was adapted for our needs. Our package even included pick up and drop off to Arusha airport and 2 nights in Arusha prior and after safari, which was really convenient. We were also very happy with the safari itself. Our guide Mudy had good English and incredible knowledge of fauna. Moreover with 10 years of safari experience he knew all the paths in the park and spots for where animals are likely to appear. Thanks to that we saw the big 5, we even saw 2 leopards not just 1, cheetah and rhino quite close by. Some hotels were quite simple but always very comfortable. However few hotels were absolute lux experience, not something one would expect from safari. Those had incredible viewpoints, swimming pools and amazing rooms. In all hotels staff was very very nice and food was incredible (forget about the diet). Generally i recommend staying in hotels (lodges), rather than in tents, makes the whole experience even more incredible. "Meru slopes tours" also had the best price and service we got was top quality, through the whole journeys they made sure we are enjoying it.

Amazing experience - Our 5-days safari was amazing! It included Taranguire, Serengueti (2days, that after we wished they were 3), Ngorongoro and lake Manyara. Wildlife everywhere, unforgettable landscapes and incredible people. The lodges and tented camps were perfect with top infrastructure surrounded by nature. Selecting MeruSlopes has been a great choice and our guide Salehe was one of the keys for our amazing experience. He does not only know a lot about the animals in the parks and their behavior but he also knows about Tanzania, the roads, the park tracks and a lot of people. He is also a very experienced driver with an innate talent for spotting big cats! Totally recommended! Asante!

Overall great tour but... - Overall this was a very good tour and we saw an experienced some great sights. However there were some glitches. When we arrived at the airport our airport transfer driver failed to show up to pick us up. I had to call Geofrey and I got conflicting explanations on why driver didn't show up. He then hired an Airport taxi driver to deliver us to our hotel. The tour paid for our first night in the hotel and the last night in a hotel as part of the package. The lodges and accommodations we had during the actual tour were very nice. However the first night lodging in Arusha was at the Venice Hotel and it was terrible. I have left a review on TripAdvisor for the Venice Hotel experience. I told Geofrey that we had a bad experience at the Venice Hotel and he told us he would put us up at a different Hotel after we returned from the tour. Unfortunately that was in many ways just as bad as the first hotel we stayed in in Arusha. That was called the Lush Garden Hotel which I have also reviewed on TripAdvisor. To summarize the beginning and the end of the experience we're very negative but the tour itself was fabulous. I really want to recognize that our tour driver named Samuel was outstanding in every way possible. He is friendly, knowledgeable, attentive to our needs, and fully accommodating in every way. He is a great guide as well as a great driver.
