Arusha- Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - The first day of the safari adventure starts with an early morning pickup from the hotel in Arusha after a delicious breakfast. Depart around 7:30 AM for a picturesque two-hour drive southwest to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its enormous baobab trees and large elephant herds. Upon reaching the park gate, embark on a mid-morning game drive, with opportunities to see elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, lions, and possibly elusive leopards near the Tarangire River. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot within the park, surrounded by nature. After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive, exploring various sections of the park and observing the abundant birdlife and seasonal wildlife movements. By late afternoon, exit the park and proceed to the chosen lodge or camp nearby for dinner and an overnight stay, with time to relax and reflect on the day’s sightings.
Karatu - Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Day Two starts with an early breakfast at the lodge in Karatu, followed by a morning departure toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands, offering brief stops for panoramic views and optional visits to Maasai villages or Olduvai Gorge (depending on the itinerary). Enjoy a packed lunch en route before entering the Serengeti via the Naabi Hill Gate. Once inside, embark on an afternoon game drive across the vast plains, where you’ll encounter wildebeest herds, zebras, lions, cheetahs, elephants, and possibly a leopard resting in an acacia tree. As the sun sets, arrive at the Serengeti lodge or tented camp, where a freshly prepared dinner awaits, and unwind by the fire under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
Full Day in Serengeti
Serengeti National Park - Day Three begins with an early breakfast at the Serengeti camp or lodge, before heading out for a full-day game drive dedicated to tracking the awe-inspiring Great Migration. Depending on the season, you may witness hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles thundering across the plains or gathering at river crossings where crocodiles lie in wait. The professional guide will position you in prime viewing areas to capture dramatic scenes of predator-prey interaction, with chances to see lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and vultures following the herds. Around midday, enjoy a bush picnic lunch under a shaded acacia tree or at a designated site within the park. The adventure continues in the afternoon with more wildlife tracking across different Serengeti regions before returning to camp by sunset. Enjoy a freshly prepared dinner and spend the evening relaxing around the campfire, reliving the day’s unforgettable encounters under the star-lit sky.
Serengeti-Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Day Four starts with an early breakfast at the Serengeti lodge or camp, followed by a final morning game drive across the plains, offering a last chance to spot big cats, elephants, giraffes, and lingering migration herds as the sun rises over the savannah. After the game drive, begin the journey southeast toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying a scenic drive with wildlife sightings along the way. A picnic lunch is served en route, often at a designated viewpoint or rest stop. By late afternoon, arrive at a lodge or tented camp perched near the Ngorongoro Crater rim, where the cooler highland air and breathtaking views await. Spend the evening unwinding with a warm dinner, and prepare for an early start the next day for the crater descent and game drive inside this World Heritage site.
Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport
Ngorongoro Crater - Day Five begins with an early breakfast at the lodge on the Ngorongoro Crater rim, followed by a prompt descent into the crater floor for a half-day game drive inside one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries. Often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the crater is home to an incredible density of animals, and there are excellent chances to spot the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—as well as hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and a variety of other bird species around Lake Magadi. Mid-morning, enjoy a packed bush lunch at a designated picnic site within the crater, often near a hippo pool. After lunch, begin the ascent from the crater and start the drive back to Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport, arriving by late afternoon or early evening in time for the onward flight home, marking the end of an unforgettable Tanzanian safari adventure.
