Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - The safari guide and driver will warmly welcome guests at the airport or hotel to embark on a journey along a well-maintained tarmac road, covering approximately 120 kilometers to Tarangire National Park for the first day of game drives. Renowned for its elephant herds, with three families each numbering around a thousand, Tarangire is named after the life-sustaining Tarangire River that meanders through the park, providing vital water to a wide array of wildlife. Visitors may encounter zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, among others. There is also a chance to spot the elusive leopard Panthera or the majestic lion Simba, either stalking prey or resting in the trees. With around 500 bird species identified, the park is a birdwatcher’s paradise. After a hot lunch at the lodge, the adventure continues at 2:00 PM with more game viewing. As the sun sets over The Rift Valley, the driver will transport guests to the campsite for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay at the comfortable adventure camp in Tarangire public campsite.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Following breakfast, the journey continues towards the fertile highlands where the Iraqw people cultivate wheat, coffee, and corn. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, travelers will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Ngorongoro Crater before proceeding to Serengeti National Park, known as ‘Endless Plain’ in the Maasai language. Arriving by midday, visitors will explore Tanzania’s largest park, spanning 15,000 square kilometers with diverse landscapes including grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. The park hosts the great migration of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope, offering a chance to witness thousands of animals in search of food and water. After an en-route game drive, lunch is served at the lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive at 3:00 PM. As the day concludes, guests will camp in anticipation of excellent dining and spacious accommodations for rest.
Dinner and overnight at the comfortable adventure camp in Serengeti central Seronera public campsite.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, the wildlife adventure on the ‘Endless Plain’ begins. The plain is home to over three million large mammals, justifying its status as a UNESCO World Heritage site. In addition to the migrating herds, visitors may see cheetah, lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, wildebeest, hartebeest, topi, eland, crocodiles, and Thomson’s and Grant’s Gazelle, among many others. With over 500 bird species identified, the park is an ornithological haven, featuring ostriches, secretary birds, marabou storks, and the kori bustard, the largest flighted bird on Earth. In the late evening, the journey continues to the crater rim for dinner and an overnight stay at the comfortable adventure camp in Simba public campsite.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - The day begins early at 6:00 AM with breakfast before descending the bumpy, winding track through various climatic zones into the Crater. Here, visitors will quickly spot wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, elephant, and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With some luck, the endangered black rhino might be seen through the grass. After a picnic lunch at the hippo pools and a full afternoon in the caldera, the journey ascends to the highlands again, heading to Manyara with memories and memory cards filled with images of East Africa.
Lake Manyara Game Drive
Lake Manyara National Park - In the morning, after breakfast, the Signature Safari guide and driver will collect guests for the 130 km drive on a good tarmac road with a picnic lunch to Lake Manyara National Park. Along the way, the colorful Maasai can be seen tending their cattle by the roadside, with the stunning Rift Valley landscape highlighting the beauty of Planet Earth. Manyara is home to the mesmerizing sight of countless flamingos and a wealth of wildlife including lion, hippo, elephant, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, baboon, blue and vervet monkey, and warthog, among many others. With over 400 bird species recorded, it is an ornithological paradise. Our unique 5-day budget safari experience takes you through Tarangire and Ngorongoro, two of the top locations on The Northern Safari Circuit. Our journey begins at The Tarangire National Park, so-called because of the life-sustaining river coursing through the park’s landscape, which acts like a magnet for a wide variety of wildlife drawn to its hydrating waters. Leaving Tarangire, we spend two nights in the Serengeti Plains, the venue for Earth’s final major land migration of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope. Our adventure concludes in the Ngorongoro Highlands, known as one of Africa’s seven wonders and a UNESCO world heritage site. Offering the best wildlife viewing experience in Tanzania, if not all of Africa, the crater is truly a spectacle to behold.
