Incredible Experience, Highly Recommend - We had an amazing experience with Safari Soles, a few reasons in particular:
1. Experienced guide: First and foremost, we had a very knowledgeable guide, Oscar, who was supported by his fantastic understudy Balthazar. Oscar has 12+ years of guide experience and knew all 3 Parks (Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorngoro) inside and out. We severely underestimated how much a guide can make or break the trip. Often what happens is what you will see on a given day is just pure luck of the draw. However, if another guide spots something interesting (a big cat, etc.) they will radio to their close guide friends what they have seen and where. Thus, it's imperative that you have a guide who has many guide relationships and who also knows the park like the back of their hand so they can quickly navigate to the spot before it's too late. Oscar was exactly that. So knowledgeable and had so many connections such that we were able to see all big 5 and often many big cats in one day. Truly exceptional.
2. Service in the car: small detail, but we really appreciated the level of service we received in having copious beverages and always being comfortable in the car. It seemed like there was never a moment where we needed something because Balthazar and Oscar were always making sure we had everything we needed. We chose the mid-range Safari, but it felt like our service was luxury. We've stayed in many 5 star hotels, but the service we received on this tour was better than any we've received at those fancy places.
3. Customized experience: Though our itinerary was somewhat preset beforehand, we felt that our guides gave us a lot of input in what we did and when we did it. On some days we wanted to retire early because we were feeling extra tired. Without hesitation, Oscar would head towards the camp / lodge and even made sure he snuck in a cheetah or leopard on our way out. We had to make many bathroom breaks and Oscar and Balthazar were more than accommodating. We truly felt like this was our personalized journey and experience.
4. Food and lodging: We really enjoyed the meals. Small detail, but we noticed that we had more traditional home cooked meals of rice, curries, etc. as opposed to other groups boxed lunches of very Western food. To each their own, but we really really liked this. The food was great and felt authentic. I think this is something you can customize based on your palette, but we just had the default menu and man was it good. In terms of lodging, we felt that the accommodations were fairly priced for the mid range. Each place was quite nice and though not top top quality, I felt we were getting more than appropriate value for what we were paying.
Overall, couldn't have asked for more from this experience and will be recommending Safari Soles, particularly our guide Oscar, again!

Fantastic Safari experience - Angel at Safari souls prepared the best Safari experience for us, before arriving to Tanzania. Our guide Emanuel made a fantastic Safari experience possible. We got the chance to see almost all the animals plus a live lion hunt on our first safari day!
The accomodations we had were really worth the price and very comfortable.
Our guide Erik the last day gave us a city tour in Arusha and waited and prolonged the tour when our flight to Zanzibar was delayed.
Overall a great experience, thank you Safari souls, Angel, Frank, Emanuel and Eric.

Agency totally reliable and recommended! - Great experience with Safari Soles. We searched for the safari ourselves, with no agency in between, and we spent a long time comparing different prices and options. We chose Safari Soles because Vivian was very attentive and was adapting the trip according to all our requests.
First of all, the two guides we were with Eric and Oscar were super friendly from the get-go. With Eric we really enjoyed our day in Arusha and we were very well introduced to Tanzanian culture. Oscar was our guide for most of the Safari, we are super grateful to him because he tried so hard that we could see all the animals possible in the time we had, being able to leave Tanzania saying that we have seen the Big Five. It was adjusting the tour so that we could live the experience calmly, which we appreciate very much. In addition, we have shared very good times with him and he made us feel very comfortable.
Secondly, the experience was amazing and we are happy with all the accommodations they selected for us. Plus we've had plenty of drink and food all along.
We hope to be able to return to Tanzania and would repeat with them without hesitation. Nod healthy!

An Unforgetable Experience - Our guide Francis was the best guide you can ask for, even after trips to Uganda and Ethiopia! It was a once in a lifetime experience. He taught us how to love animals and nature. It felt like 4 days spent in family. Thank you Francis!

Unforgettable Safari Experience thanks to Japhet! - We have just returned from our Safari adventure with Safari Soles Tours, where we travelled through Tarangire National Park, Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater.
We spent weeks researching safari tour operators and reading through reviews to make sure we chose the best we could for our holiday. What a fantastic decision we made to go through Safari Soles, where Hope Godfrey worked tirelessly to ensure we had the perfect itinerary to meet our needs. We chose our accommodations, where I can highly recommend Suricata Boma Lodge and the Lake Ndutu Luxury Tented Camp!
Our safari guide was the wonderful Japhet. What an incredible guide he was! You would be so lucky to have him accompany you on your Safari adventure! He is kind and welcoming and makes you feel safe and confident in his abilities and knowledge. Japhet went above and beyond for us to make sure we had the best views, saw everything in abundance and all whilst making us comfortable and happy!
Japhet has an exceptional knowledge of the Tanzanian landscape, an eye like no other to spot animals where we wouldn’t even notice they were there, and confidence to drive around the Serengeti knowing exactly where he is at all times. He was a pleasure to spend our safari with and it was hard to say goodbye.
Japhet brought the Lion King to life with our once in a lifetime Safari adventure and we are forever grateful. Asante Sana <3

Amazing unforgettable trip to the Serengeti - This was an exceptional experience for the whole family with all our expectations exceeded. Our guide Assad, was very experienced and knowledgeable with insights on where you were likely to find different animal groups and incredible vision spotting animals we missed in the far off distance. We felt so lucky crossing the big 5 off our list - seeing a leopard sleeping off it’s wart hog breakfast in a tree, cheetahs spotting suitable prey in the distance and showing their exceptional speed, and most surprising was the lion pride who took advantage of a baby buffalo who stayed back after crossing water and went in for the kill. Very sad, but natural and mesmerising to watch. We also saw hippos fighting, vultures eating an elephant, a baboon troop, jackals, hyenas and multiple lions, giraffe, zebras, Thompson gazelles, impala and our favourite the Tik Tik. Throughout our 4 day trip Assad was calm, very patient and as enthusiastic as we were about the animals. He was on the look out all the time and communicating with other drivers on what animals had been spotted. He even managed to spot cheetahs in the distance that ended up running along side our car for a few minutes which was unreal.
The 3 days in the Serengeti passed so quickly and as an added bonus nature treated us to 9 lions visiting our tented camp on the 2nd night chasing a zebra. The roars behind our tent were so loud and just a little terrifying! Assad had to drive around to rescue some workers who climbed into the roof of a new building to hide themselves. Quite ann exceptional and unforgettable experience.
The road to the Ngorongoro crater was pretty brutal - your bones are shaken for hours and the dust was unbelievable. Visibility was non-existent at times and we were happy that Assad was a careful driver. We saw 2 crashes, a broken axle, 2 vehicles with punctures and our own car needed some quick work on the engine by Assad when a pipe was blocked due to the dust.
We arrived at our destination the marvellous Tortilis tented camp about 45 mins from the crater entrance after about 3 hours I think, stopping off at a Masai village on the way. This was super interesting but you do feel ripped off after being asked to support the house owner that you visit by buying overpriced items. Bracelets that were $5 at a lunch stop were $20 here and afterwards we felt like they should have just asked for a donation in addition to the ticket price. We would not then have felt manipulated.
The Crater is an enormous open space once you are in and we were lucky enough to see the Rhino through binoculars thanks to Assad’s eagle eyes. The flamingo here were plentiful and it was great to see the wildebeest doing their unstoppable following of one another. Personally we did not find the crater as interesting but that may be that we were just so lucky in the Serengeti.
This was an amazing holiday and we shall certainly ask for Assad if we ever go back. Highly recommended

Fantastic safari tour - We had a fantastic 4 days with Assad as our driver and guide. We saw all the big 5 and more. Highlights were a leopard with its kill in a tree, both a lion and cheetah chase and kill and some beautiful close ups of many lions, elephants, cheetahs, zebras and giraffes.
Assad knew where to find the cats and all the big five including buffalos. It was a great 4 days and the various tented accommodation was great to see and hear the wildlife.

Amazing! - I'm glad we chose safari soles to organise our safari. They were very professional and responsive. They organised every detail from the itinerary ( that fit our budget well) to the packing list, leaving us with nothing to do but anticipate the adventure of a lifetime.
Our guide Jackson, was the heart and soul of the safari. He had excellent local knowledge and a keen eye for spotting camouflaged animals.
His driving skills were superb, navigating challenging terrain with ease while always ensuring our safety and comfort. Jackson's warm and friendly demeanour made us feel like we were exploring with a friend rather than a guide.
The animals we saw were breathtaking. We only managed to see 3 of the big 5. We had thrilling moments watching a pride of lions with their playful cubs, majestic elephants that calmly crossed in front of our vehicle, and other amazing wildlife such as a cheetah, zebras, wildebeest and giraffes, hippos and warthogs, gazelles and ostriches.
We stayed in different locations depending on where we finished the day's safari. One of our favourite accommodation was golden safari camp which is a luxurious tented camp with spacious beds, en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, and private decks with stunning views of the savanna. The other places we stayed were equally amazing with good food, friendly and professional staff.
We enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend safari soles.

Budget friendly, reliable trip operators in Tanzania - This was a 4 star experience for us. Jamal was a reliable communicator on our pre-safari preparations, and this team delivered a good value. They were consistent and on-time in picking us up from the airport, dropping us off at the airport, and helping us see most of the animals we wanted to see. We did NOT see a rhino or leopard, but we saw lots of giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes, gazelles, warthogs, birds, ostriches, etc. and quite a few lions. We saw a partial crossing at the Mara river. Our guide Assad spoke good English and was an excellent driver in the safari traffic jams, helping us get good sightings and photos of lions. We do not drink alcohol, and requested soda and fruit juice instead. We were satisfied with the soda options, but the only juice options were large boxes; we would have liked some single serve juice boxes. We also booked the Serena Ngorogoro separately, and we requested box lunches and breakfast, but our guide switched our meals to early breakfast and a lunch hamper, not what we ordered- this was a dissapointment to us as well. The food was safe, and we did not get sick. Our guide was also 10-20 minutes late on the morning we drove into the crater, in spite of our emphasis on getting into the crater early. Safari Soles booked us at Safari Haven Migration Camp, claiming it "is very well located and not far from the Mara River", but on arrival, we learned it was 2 hours from the Mara River and the Kogatende airport, which significantly cut into our sleep time and the ability to relax on our vacation. Safari Soles also booked our flights out of Kogatende early in the morning, and we would have preferred a mid-day flight. We would have enjoyed a little more educational trivia about the animals we were seeing, and more careful quantitative communication from this organization. In spite of the weaknesses, I would recommend this organization to some individuals, especially those that are looking for a budget friendly, reliable trip to Tanzania.

- My family and I had a wonderful safari experience with Safari Soles and our guide, Hussein. We planned this trip to celebrate my father’s 60th birthday, and it truly became a memorable occasion. The staff at Arusha Farm House went above and beyond by organizing a surprise birthday celebration and cake for us — a thoughtful touch that kicked off the trip perfectly.
We began with a day trip to Arusha and the Kikuketwa Hot Springs, followed by an unforgettable safari. Thanks to Hussein’s keen eye and expertise, we were able to spot a wide variety of wildlife, and the weather was on our side throughout the journey. All of the accommodations were excellent, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations.
There were a few moments of miscommunication between the Safari Soles office and some staff along the way, which led to minor stress at times. I think more openness and some sort of daily briefing of the activities would level up the experience too. However, these were small issues in an otherwise incredible, once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
Asante sana to everyone who made this trip so special.
