Moshi/Arusha-Lake Manyara
Lake Manyara - Meet the experienced tour guide/driver, who will provide a brief safari information session before heading to Lake Manyara National Park. Arrival is scheduled in time for lunch at the lodge. Post-lunch, the journey continues into Lake Manyara National Park. This remarkable park is one of Tanzania’s most stunningly situated wildlife areas, featuring a vast but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s diverse habitat attracts a wide range of animals, including one of Africa’s largest populations of elephants, Manyara’s renowned tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of flamingos drawn by the lake’s algae.
Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged according to the chosen accommodation option.
NGORONGORO CRATER
Ngorongoro Crater - Following breakfast, the descent into this magnificent crater begins for a morning, half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated African wildlife areas globally, home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos. With a year-round water supply and ample fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another major attraction of this scenic national park is its dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the crater, followed by travel to Tarangire National Park.
TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Tarangire National Park - After breakfast, the journey continues into Tarangire National Park for a morning game drive. The park follows the course of the Tarangire River and is primarily composed of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with extensive swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps attract wildlife during Tanzania’s dry season. Tarangire National Park is renowned for having some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare animal species – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings. Lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic, after which the journey will continue to Moshi town, concluding the African safari adventure. Guests will be transported to their hotel or alternatively to the airport, marking the end of the safari package services.
