Selous Game Reserve - Depart in the morning for Selous Game Reserve, with a brief stop for a hot lunch in Kibiti. The journey to Selous takes approximately 5 to 6 hours. Arrive for an afternoon boat safari along the majestic Great Rufiji River.
The boat safari offers close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and incredible birdlife. Animals come to the river to drink, and the boat can approach elephants, waterbucks, and others on the riverbanks within a few meters. Crocodiles glide into the water as the boat nears, and hippos appear alarmingly close, grunting and blowing steam.

Full Day Game Drive in Selous Game Reserve
Selous Game Reserve - Enjoy a full-day game drive in Selous Game Reserve, exploring the area by 4WD vehicle. This provides excellent photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of this vast park.
The Selous Game Reserve is the largest in Africa, covering 50,000 square kilometers. It is renowned for its elephants, and commonly seen are lions, wild dogs, buffalo, bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebras, wildebeests, and greater kudus.
Accommodation: Mloka Safari Lodge or Africa Safari Camp.
Walking Safari in Selous GR then drive to Morogoro Town
Morogoro Region - Rise early for a cup of coffee or tea, then embark on a wilderness walking safari guided by an armed ranger, lasting two to two and a half hours.
The walking safari offers an intimate experience of the African wild. It provides the opportunity to connect with nature, observe different animal footprints and droppings, and see small creatures not visible during a game drive.
After the walking safari, return to the camp for breakfast, then drive to Morogoro Town with a game drive en route. The journey traverses some of Tanzania’s most stunning and untouched areas, including the Uluguru Mountains, rivers, and small local villages and farms. Though tiring, it is one of the most rewarding and adventurous routes on the southern circuit.

Morogoro to Ruaha National Park
Ruaha National Park - After breakfast, begin the journey to Ruaha National Park, stopping in Iringa Town for lunch.
Enjoy a brief town tour in Iringa, then proceed to Ruaha Hilltop Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Ruaha National Park - After breakfast, head out with a packed lunch for a full-day game drive in Ruaha National Park.
A well-maintained network of game viewing roads follows the Great Ruaha River and its seasonal tributaries. During the dry season, impalas, waterbucks, and other antelopes risk their lives for a sip of water. The danger is significant, not only from the pride of over 20 lions that dominate the savannah but also from cheetahs stalking the open grasslands.

Another full day game drive in Ruaha National Park
Ruaha National Park - Start the day with an early breakfast, then drive to the park for a full-day game drive to explore the park’s beauty, characterized by rocky kopjes and ancient baobab trees. Return to the cottage for a hot lunch, then continue the game drive until sunset.

Ruaha NP to Udzungwa Mountain NP via Isimila Stone Age Site
Isimila Stone Age Site - After breakfast, drive to Isimila Stone Age Site via Iringa town. This tour lasts about two hours, then continue to Udzungwa Mountain National Park.
The site tour begins at a small museum where a guide provides an introduction to the site’s formation and explains the fossils and tools on display. The tour continues into the canyon down a steep footpath, where the guide shows some of the beds where tools were found and explains the formation of the rock towers. The walk is scenic, with the earth having a warm reddish tint, and it’s a great spot for birdwatching.
Udzungwa Mountains National Park - After visiting Isimila Stone Age Site, drive to Udzungwa Mountain National Park for dinner and overnight.

Udzungwa Mountains National Park - After breakfast, the driver will take you to the starting point after completing park formalities.
Begin walking in this beautiful park, enjoying and experiencing its stunning natural beauty. Have a picnic lunch in the bush, then continue exploring the area, including the magnificent Sanje waterfall, which is 170m high. There is an opportunity to swim in one of the waterfall’s plunge pools. The walk reaches up to 1600m above sea level, offering beautiful views of the Kilombero Valley. Six species of monkeys can be seen, including the endemic Sanje Crested Mangabey and Iringa Red Colobus Monkey.
Udzungwa Mountain NP is one of Tanzania’s most outstanding, pristine, and unique wilderness areas, with the greatest altitudinal range of forest. It is one of the thirty-four “World Biodiversity Hotspots” and one of 200 WWF Eco Regions of global critical importance.
Mikumi National Park - After mountain trekking, drive to Mikumi Bastian Camp or Mikumi Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Mikumi National Park - After breakfast, check out and begin the journey to Mikumi National Park, which takes about two hours. Arrive for a game drive in Mikumi NP.
Commonly found animals include lions, elands, hartebeests, buffaloes, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and many more. Wild dogs may also be seen in this park. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain are highlights. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.
Visit Maasai Tribe then drive back to Dar es Salaam
Mikumi National Park - After breakfast at the camp/lodge, drive to visit the Maasai tribe. This visit offers the chance to see how they live and learn about their history. After visiting the Maasai Boma, drive back to Dar es Salaam.
Dar es Salaam - After visiting the Maasai Boma, begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam, with a short stop for a hot lunch in Morogoro town.
