• Eastern Royal Tombs of the Qing Dynasty - Guests will meet their guide at 8am in the hotel lobby and embark on a 2.5-hour drive to the Eastern Qing Tombs. These tombs, with over 300 years of history, are the final resting place for 161 emperors, empresses, concubines, princes, and princesses of the Qing Dynasty, spread across 15 mausoleums. A golf cart will transport visitors around the expansive site, stopping at three remarkable locations:

Yuling Tomb: resting place of Emperor Qianlong, the most capable Qing Emperor (1711-1799) and a renowned figure in Chinese history.

Dongling Tomb: the tomb of the infamous Empress Dowager Cixi (1835-1908), who governed China for 48 years. Her tomb is noted for its opulent decoration.

Sacred Way of Xiaoling: a 6km-long path beginning at China’s widest stone archway, adorned with intricately carved figures of lions, Kylin, and clouds. Additionally, there are 18 pairs of finely sculpted giant statues, serving as guardians of the emperor’s afterlife.

• Great Wall at Huangya Pass (Huangyaguan Changcheng) - Following the tomb visit, the journey continues to the Huangyaguan Great Wall, approximately a 40-minute drive from the tombs. Named for the yellow cliff rocks to the east of the pass, Huangya (Yellow Cliff) Gaun (Pass) is a section of the Wall located in Ji County, Tianjin City. Originally constructed over 1,400 years ago during the Northern Qi Dynasty and later fortified with brick walls in the Ming Dynasty, it offers a serene and less crowded experience for those wishing to explore a quieter section of the Wall.
