Day trip in Tangier - Booked small group, but 4 people cancelled so basically it was a private tour with Abdul, our guide. Took around the city, explained many things, a few view points, the caves (pretty hokey) camel ride on the beach and then dropped us off at small local moroccan restaurant which was delicious. He then took us to meet with another guide who walked thru the Medina (the walled part of the old city) Overall a great day for only getting to spend 1 day in Tangier. Easy pick and communication with tour company

A Nice Taste of Tangier! - Our experience visiting Tangier was excellent. Younes was our tour guide and he made the excursion memorable. He knew the area well, showed enthusiasm for his job, and was accommodating to all...including a few elderly tourists. He arranged an authentic Moroccan meal as well as a brief camel ride! We were picked up from the cruise port on time, and returned exactly as he said we would be. Would highly recommend!

Loved the camel ride along the beach definitely the highlight of the excursion - Our camel ride excursion along the beach will always be memorable. Our tour guide Mustafa did his best to please everyone under some difficult situations. And for that, I give him five stars.

This experience was... - This experience was overall fine but it also leaves you with a feeling of being scammed. Here’s a breakdown: The Good: 1. Van was nice. Very comfortable new Mercedes van comfortable for up to 7 people. 2. Tour guide/ driver was nice. Jebel. Spoke prefect English and did a great job pointing things out to us. Was very attentive and a gentleman. 3. Camel ride was awesome! You don’t just sit on a camel but actually do ride a camel down the beach for a good stretch. The camel ride operators were also kind enough to take pictures of us for free while we were riding. 4. Restaurant we were taken to was nice. Family run and food was very good. Bad: 1. This was supposed to be a private tour but they tried to convince us to add two more people to our tour. I had to argue with the tour manager for about five minutes to keep it a private tour. 2. This tour was supposed to be 4-6 hours but ended up being just short of 4 hours. We were told that this was because we did not pick up those two additional people from earlier so they had to cut tour a little short so driver could show the other two people around. 3. Tour is not nearly as comprehensive as what is written in the tour description. We did not get entry to cap spartel or even see some of the sites listed. So if the sites we visited we did not ask to go to and some of the sites we wanted to go to we didn’t get to. We did the main things we wanted to though. Make sure if you book through this company, your clearly specify everything you want to see otherwise they may change things up for you. 4. The Cave of Hercules I think we went to the portion that is super touristy. It was a little underwhelming to find a gift shop and all sorts of gimmicks at the bottom of the cave. Not a bad company but you do have to be careful with them on deliverables.

Not as advertised - First of all, Mustafa our guide, was very good. He clearly knew and loved the city. My issue is with the tour itself. The tour is NOT private. We were informed at the very last minute that we would be joined by another couple. Fortunately, we had similar interests. The camel ride is awful. If you have a choice, DON'T go for a camel ride. We were led around a dirt lot and wasted far to much of our time for an uncomfortable ride and an photo op. Touristy beyond words. The tour advertises the Hercules Cave. You don't actually go into the cave that looks out onto the sea. You go into an adjacent cave full of souvenir vendors. AVOID Hercules Cave if you can. You do go to the Medina but you will NOT be allowed time to wander the medina. We went to 3 vendors, 2 of which gave us a hard sell and demonstration. The only reason we went to the 3rd at all is because I asked. We certainly didn't spend an hour there. Lunch was nice but it required cash, which we didn't have and didn't know we needed until after lunch. We made arrangements with someone but yeesh! You only do about 2/3 of the sites mentioned on the booking page. You don't go to the Grand Socco, the American Legion Museum, or the Café Hafa. Ultimately, the tour isn't what it's was supposed to be.

Meh - Guide was fantastic. Disappointed when they combined our private tour with a large bus of 40 folks. Some had different start times, and purchased items on the itinerary. We did not get everything we paid for. It felt very much like a bait and switch scenario. Not sure if this is common practice, but it let me wondering. Several unhappy folks on this day.

DO NOT BOOK WITH NORTH TOURS TANGIER - Do not book with them. I booked a private full day tour with them early April for my cruise stop in Tangier on May 19 (I noted it was on a cruise in my booking). On May 18 they called me to say that because the ship was in port, they were very busy on May 19 and would I go on a group tour with 30 people? I said no, I wanted the private tour. He told me he would not be able to accomodate me and and I ask him to cancel. I said Is there anything more I need to do to make sure that I am not charged. He said no. Guess what? They charged me for the tour. TERRIBLE BUSINESS - BOOK WITH ANOTHER COMPANY

Bait and switch! - We booked a private tour. About 12 hours before the tour we received a message letting us know that it wouldn’t be private and we’d be on a bus with a group of 30-35 people. Everyone had bought a different package at different price points. Several of the things we paid for we did not get. Our tour guide was amazing but he was given chaos to handle and we felt bad for him! We should definitely receive at last some of our money back!

Don’t use them. - These guys are horrible. They did a bait and switch on us. We got a private tour and then the day before they said oh we have too many people and tried to throw us into a big group. We canceled and found somebody who was better.
