09:00 am: Departure from the hotel in Tangier to the blue town of Chefchaouen, passing through the stunning Rif Mountains and enjoying the scenic landscapes. Upon arrival, the driver will introduce guests to their local guide in Chefchaouen. Visitors will explore the white and blue city of Chefchaouen, renowned for its well-preserved Arab-Andalusia art and traditions. Known as Chaouen or Chefchaouen in the Berber language, it is one of the most picturesque towns in the Rif Mountains. It serves as the last stronghold before the Mediterranean and the Iberian Peninsula. This holy city, with around twenty mosques and sanctuaries, features charming powder-blue houses and the iconic lime-washed houses with blue doors. There will be free time for lunch before departing to Tetouan. - Tetouan - Upon arrival in Tetouan, guests will have 2 hours of free time to explore the city at their leisure. They can discover Tetouan’s old medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its rich history. Once a pirate hub and later the capital of Spanish Morocco, Tetouan has deep cultural influences from Andalusian Jews, Moors, and Moriscos who resettled here in the 16th century after fleeing the Spanish Inquisition. Many locals still speak Spanish, adding to the city’s unique charm.
After the visit, guests will be transferred back to Tangier, marking the end of the excursion.
