Located 650 meters from Ras El-Ma, the Spanish Mosque sits atop a hill, offering a fantastic vantage point to admire the city. Built in the 1920s by the Spanish, it was never used as a mosque and fell into disrepair before being restored. As a non-functioning mosque, it is open for visitors to explore. It is also referred to as Boujaafar Mosque, named after the Spanish official with a notably large mustache who oversaw its construction.
