Tour essential - Chefausen a nice village on the slopes of a mountain. Tetouan, traditional town without much to offer but with an important Spanish past that is even known in the name of its streets

The bluest and best trip in Morocco! - A wonderful trip to Chefchaouen - really not to be missed if you’re in the north of Morocco. A historic walled town from 1470 that was became a refuge for Arabs and Jews escaping the inquisition in Adalucia and which is famous for its narrow, winding blue streets. A real gem. The driver (Mohamed) and guide (Ali) were both fantastic. Thoroughly recommended!

Mohammed ( 67). - Our trip through Tangier, Chefchaouen, and Tetouan was truly memorable, thanks to the excellent organization of the tour and especially our driver and guide, Mohammed (No. 67). He was professional, punctual, and always drove safely, making the journey comfortable and stress-free. Mohammed’s knowledge of the history, culture, and local life in each city was impressive, and his explanations were clear and engaging. He was patient, attentive, and genuinely cared about the group. His warm personality and dedication made the entire trip smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Excellent tour to the Blue City! - What a great day in the Blue City! Our guide, Ali, was very knowledgeable, and gave us a great unique tour. He was even nice enough to take pictures of us in 'secret' spots away from crowds. And his lunch recommendation was delicious. Our driver, Jalal, was good and gave everyone options. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Nice Leisurely Tour - This is a nice way to see two iconic Moroccan cities in a single day. The operator picks you up at your hotel in Tangier and drives you to Chefchaouen, with a brief stop at a beautiful cafe overlooking a lake in the Rif Mountains. In Chefchaouen you get a guided tour of the city that lasts about an hour and a half. It is informative, and the tour guides are very knowledgeable about the history of the city. Be prepared to be taken to a carpet shop and given a demonstration of the loom and the assortment of carpets available for sale. If you want a carpet, this is a good place to get one, but be up front if you are only interested in looking. Decide going in if you do want one and have a price in mind. As in most places in Morocco, prices are VERY negotiable. I found the merchants in Chefchaouen to be much less pushy than in other places like Marrakech or Fes, so that was refreshing. After the tour, you also have some down time to eat or walk through the city on your own. The guide will also take you to a restaurant if you are interested. Bear in mind that some tours in Morocco will lead to shops and restaurants that have a deal with that guide to give them a cut of all sales. I don't know for sure if that was the case with this tour guide, but just something to keep in mind when visiting any cities in Morocco. Do the research before visiting and know what you want to buy and where you want to eat, if it's important to you. After Chefchaouen, the tour drives you to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Tetouan. This is another beautiful city, and you are free to roam it for about two hours on your own. No tour is provided in this city. We actually had to leave early to catch a train in Tangier, and the tour was running longer than we had anticipated based on the estimated time in Trip Advisor. Be sure to confirm times with the tour operator beforehand to avoid this type of situation. Luckily, our tour guide was able to drive us to a taxi station in Tetouan and negotiate a group ride for us back to Tangier (about an hour ride for 100 DH for two people, which is about 10 USD). We made it to our train just in time. Overall, this was a good tour. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to see these cities off the main train routes but doesn't want to rent a car.

A mixed experience - Chefchaouen went fairly well. There was some difficulty communicating pre-trip. The pick up spot wasn’t clear so I emailed the day before to clarify and didn’t receive a response. Other than that the trip was enjoyable. Terran wasn’t what I expected. We were dropped off with little info and picked up 2 hours later. The town was very crowded and we had to avoid a lot of high pressure buy tactics. It was very difficult finding something to eat. I wouldn’t recommend doing this part of the trip unless there’s a lot of individual planning ahead of time.
