Chefchaouen - Spend the morning further exploring the captivating blue city before heading to Fes.
Fes - After a scenic drive with brief stops, you will arrive in Fes. Overnight accommodation will be in a delightful riad with breakfast in the historic medina.
Day 3: EXPLORING FES
Fes - Begin your day with breakfast at the riad before embarking on a journey through Fes, known as Morocco’s “Spiritual City.” Spend the morning exploring the Medina and its alleys, visiting key cultural and historical sites such as the renowned Al Karaouine Mosque and University (the world’s oldest), the Medrasa Bouanania, the Tanneries, and the Najjarine fountain.
Fes el-Bali - After lunch, venture beyond the Medina to see the Royal Palace entrance, stroll through the Jewish quarter “the Mellah,” and visit the pottery cooperative. In the afternoon, enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes from one of the fortresses. Overnight stay in the same riad.
DAY 4: FES - IFRANE - AZROU - MIDELT - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA DESERT
Fes - After breakfast at your riad, set off for Merzouga via Midelt and Errachidia.
Ifrane - The journey begins in Ifrane, often referred to as Morocco’s “Switzerland,” and continues to Merzouga through Midlet and the Ziz Valley. Enjoy glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains along the way.
Azrou - Stop at the renowned cedar forest, Morocco’s largest, where you might spot Barbarian apes.
Midelt - As you near Er Rachidia, observe the changing landscape hinting at the desert. After lunch in Midelt, continue through the lush Ziz Valley, pausing for panoramic views.
Erfoud - Travel through welcoming Berber villages to Erfoud.
Merzouga - Arrive at the Merzouga desert, where a guided camel ride with an experienced camel handler will take you across the Merzouga sand sea to witness the sunset. Overnight in a desert camp, enjoying meals, a campfire, and a drum party. Private tents include flush toilets and hot showers. DAY 5: SAHARA DESERT – TODGHA GORGE – DADES VALLEY
Merzouga - Your camel guide will wake you early to experience a potentially breathtaking sunrise. After breakfast at the camp, enjoy a peaceful camel trek back to your riad, admiring the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes, which change with the light throughout the day.
Gargantas del Todra - Depart for the Tinghir and Todgha gorges, Morocco’s tallest and narrowest gorges, where you can hike along the valley.
Dades Gorges - Continue to the Dades Valley, where you’ll see magnificent sand castles and unique rock formations known as “monkey toes.” Overnight accommodation will be in a charming riad in the heart of the Valley (HB).
DAY 6: DADES VALLEY – AIT BENHADDOU KASBAH – MARRAKECH
Dades Gorges - After breakfast, travel through the Dades Valley to Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate. The route, known as the Way of Thousand Kasbahs, offers numerous opportunities for capturing memorable photographs.
El Kelaa M’gouna - Stop in Kalaat M’Gouna, “the rose city,” to purchase rosewater, ensuring your linens remain fresh long after your journey ends.
Ouarzazate - Proceed to Ouarzazate, often called “Africa’s Hollywood.”
Ait Ben Haddou - Enjoy lunch at the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, Morocco’s largest Kasbah, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
