Airport named after first president of Indonesia - An express train runs between the airport and the city center, allowing travelers to avoid traffic jams in less than an hour. The fare is 70,000 rupees or 4.3 USD. Trains from the airport depart and arrive at SHIA (Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Railway Station), which is located in a separate building at the airport. You can get there from the terminals by the free airport SkyTrain (also launched in late 2017) and free buses. The general train route looks something like this: After claiming your luggage and exchanging money, follow the signs to the terminal exit and the Skytrain. Board the nearest Skytrain for a free ride to SHIA. At SHIA station, purchase a train ticket to the city from a ticket machine (payment by credit card) or through the app. Proceed through the turnstiles to the train. Arrive at BNI City Station (BNC), from where you can take a taxi to your hotel. Airport Train in Jakarta Trains arrive and depart from BNI City Railway Station (also known as Sudirman Baru, as shown on the map), which is located in the central part of the city but quite far from all tourist attractions and public transportation. There are no buses nearby, and the nearest TransJakarta stop is almost a kilometer away, so the only option for getting to your hotel from here is currently by taxi. Trains from the airport depart every 30-60 minutes from 6:10 AM to 11:10 PM, according to a schedule.

Singapore Airlines Passenger Area - Executive class passengers and Star Alliance Gold members have access to a restricted lounge area, quite spacious and cozy. The range of drinks is very good, as well as the food options, always focusing on local cuisine. The internet works very well and there is even an exclusive exit. It is worth arriving earlier and enjoying the rest before the flight to Singapore, with a later connection, if applicable.

Embark on your Indonesian adventure through the vibrant Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. - Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), nestled in Tangerang, Banten, just 20 kilometers west of Jakarta’s pulsating heart, stands as Indonesia’s premier aviation hub, welcoming over 60 million travelers annually with a dynamic blend of modern infrastructure and warm Indonesian hospitality. Named after Indonesia’s founding fathers, Soekarno and Mohammad Hatta, this sprawling airport—spanning 2,100 hectares—serves as the primary gateway to the archipelago, connecting adventurers to over 100 domestic and international destinations via more than 50 airlines, including flag carrier Garuda Indonesia. Its three terminals (Terminal 1 for domestic low-cost carriers, Terminal 2 for international flights, and Terminal 3 for premium domestic and international services) are a hive of activity, offering travelers an array of experiences: from savoring local delicacies like nasi goreng at bustling food courts to indulging in duty-free shopping for batik souvenirs or global luxury brands. The airport boasts cutting-edge facilities, including free Wi-Fi, prayer rooms, smoking areas, and lounges like the plush Garuda Indonesia Executive Lounge, ensuring comfort for every type of traveler. For those in transit, the airport’s digital art installations and cultural exhibits provide a taste of Indonesia’s rich heritage, while practical amenities like currency exchange, ATMs, and a 24/7 medical center cater to every need. Seamless connectivity is a hallmark, with options like the Skytrain linking terminals, DAMRI buses, taxis, and a rail link to Jakarta’s city center, making exploration effortless. Despite occasional challenges like peak-hour congestion, Soekarno-Hatta’s ongoing expansions—aiming for a capacity of 100 million passengers by 2030—promise an ever-evolving welcome to Indonesia, where your journey begins with a vibrant fusion of efficiency and cultural allure.

Starlux Biz Class from Jakarta airport - Truly a first class lounge. The server Ricky is very attentive and personable during my stay. The food is great, all gourmet and not buffet in the lounge.

Don’t expect to pay for alcohol on business class - We recently visited this lounge in Jakarta. Overall, it’s a good space—clean, tidy, and well-maintained with friendly and professional staff. The food selection was also impressive, with a decent variety to choose from. However, the major letdown—and quite a big one in our opinion—is that they charge for alcoholic drinks. For a paid lounge, this really takes away from the experience. Because of that, we probably wouldn’t use it again. A real shame, as everything else was spot on.

Just don't go there - spend $18 and a real premium lounge! It's messy plus money grabbing! - This Qantas-associated lounge in Jakarta was prior to Flight QF40. The standard of service and amenities was well below that expected of a Business Class facility bearing the Qantas name indeed any Oneworld Carriet. The Only white wine on offer was of very poor and inexpensive quality, and I was charged AUD 18 for a basic gin and tonic—a price entirely disproportionate to both the quality and the premium fare already paid for Business Class travel. The situation was compounded by the extraordinary fact that Indonesian currency was not accepted for payment within a lounge located in Indonesia. This not only caused unnecessary inconvenience but also reflected a complete lack of operational awareness and customer consideration. The manager saving face punished the staff and then proceeded to put the sign up! This experience is entirely inconsistent with Qantas’ and any professed premium service standards and undermines confidence in the value of Business Class travel. I strongly urge oneworld and Qantas to conduct an immediate review of its partnership and management arrangements for the Jakarta lounge. The current offering is unworthy of anyone's quality brand. I request a formal written response detailing what steps will be taken to address this matter.

Disappointing - Very disappointed by this lounge which does not correspond to the standing of a business class. Travelling on Turkish we were used to the exceptional lounge in Istanbul. The lounge in Jakarta has a very limited culinary offer, 3 or 4 courses. Except for a glass of local wine or a beer, all alcoholic beverages are charged. Count 10€ for a cocktail!!!Beware there is a very large room in which it is terrible heat. Take refuge in the air-conditioned Saphir lounge.
