My husband and I were the only two in our tour.. Senior Keeper Desmond and volunteer Matt made this the best experience intimate experience. We meet Miss Carol and I even got the most welcoming embrace. The cats were all so comfortable and relaxed in their retirement homes. Being so close as the had their meaty snacks and bloodcicles was intense. Every volunteer and keeper we met were all so pleasant. This is a total must. I am hooked and will visit again and again for the keepers tour when visiting Florida! 🖤
The keeper was very knowledgeable and friendly. Her passion for her work was obvious and made the tour that much more meaningful. I learned a lot and so enjoyed the cats and seeing them happy and content as can be for being in captivity.
Amazing tour! Loved the tour guide and all the big cats! I would highly recommend coming here
This was not my first visit to Big Cat Rescue, but it was my first Keeper tour. The tour was so enjoyable and educational. Luckily the weather was great and all the cats were out of their dens and very visible. The two hour tour allowed us to see a large number of the residents up close. We were able to see the keeper feed the cats treats and to demonstrate their operant training. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone who loves big cats.
Overall, this is a good tour. The leader was obviously passionate about the cats so it made the tour more enjoyable. There are no words to describe the beauty and majesty of these animals. They are very healthy and well cared for. On the negative side, there was no reason to be 30 minutes early. We were basically ignored the entire time and the tour started late. You could do a better job of welcoming visitors, especially at the price of the Keeper tour. I would recommend this tour if you want to know the history behind the animals and spend a good amount of time watching them.
Our Keeper was great.. very informational and funny. I’m so glad that BCR is here to help the great cats.. I’m very happy to help sponsor a cat.. ❤️ youBCR and staff
Very well run and everything was explained in detail.
The keeper & intern were very knowledgeable & knew the cats. My family & I utilized a golf cart & the keeper/intern made sure we could see the cats & getting the same experience as the other guests.
This was the Best Tour I ever had , Staff was Awesome !!!! and the kindness of the place to take care of the Cats , that people just don't understand that there not pets and don't want them later down the road is sad !!! Thank you Big Cat Rescue all you do !!! I will be back again for the Keeper Tour it was Awesome = Miss Tara Gyenis
On time. Up close. Great staff. Great access for all physical abilities. Upon leaving you felt that the big cats were in great hands.
We found this interesting and educational and were very impressed with both the facilities and how deeply the people here care for these rescued felines.
On Sunday, February 12th, Danielle and I just took The Keeper Tour with Angie. I have to tell you that it was an amazing experience. She was so informative and extremely passionate about the cats she cares for and Big Cat Rescue. It was an awesome time and I can't wait to come and visit again.
Best experience I have ever had with being able to see and support a cause that is important to me. They care for the cats very nicely and I absolutely will be back.
