I have been a big fan and supporter of Big Cat Rescue for four years. Never disappointed with my visits! Brittany gave an excellent tour. She was pleasant and knowledgeable about each individual cat and the sanctuary. Answered every question that anyone in the group had. The sanctuary itself is clean and well maintained and the cats are magnificent. Brittany was also very good about explaining the core mission of BCR, which is to end the abuse of exotic cats and encouraged and explained very well the need to make the Call of the Wild to help pass legislation to making private ownership of these magnificent animals illegal in this country.

Our tour guide was Alyssa (?). She gave us a fascinating demonstration of operant conditioning. She also sprinkled the tour with interesting information, like that the wiskers stand up more when the cats are smelling interesting smells like the spices and perfume they were given. She had so much to do during the tour (Keepers Tour), yet she made it look easy. The beauty of the setting and obvious care for the animals Alyssa has made the tour special (having visited other big cat rescue sites and also worked at a wildlife rehab center).
