Best St. Pete History Tour - This tour of a historically and achaelogically significant site in St. Petersburg, on the waterfront, is well-worth the cost and time. David, the grandson of the owner of this private property, is so knowledgeable about the history, archeology, and botany, he blew me away! As a long-time resident of St. Petersburg, I didn't think there was much left that was untouched by development. This Tour proved me wrong!

This was wonderful! - This was one of the most interesting and informative tours we have ever been to. David was like a walking encyclopedia. He knew his material inside and out and also knew so much of the history of Florida. I was surprised to know that there were inhabitants here as early as the 1400's.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ See where colonialism began on Turtle Island, learn about the people involved. - 6th grade SS teacher from TX. I visited the Tocobaga Indian Mound in Philippe Park, read about the Safety Harbor museum, and was recommended this tour there. What a string of luck. Upon arrival, I had to call for help finding the location and David (tour guide) promptly answered and assisted. A total professional who's done this thousands of times, he seamlessly traversed the tightrope of responding to questions, navigating nature, and providing an educational experience. The tour is amazing because he is. This is his family's land, they've worked it and connected to it for three generations. As someone fascinated by pre-Colombian cultures, I really appreciate this Jungle Prada tour, and the hidden niche the Anderson family have been showcasing and safeguarding since the 40's. David's clear interest in the indigenous history, the details of Spanish conquest, and his family's place in protecting their "archaeologically pristine" site makes this tour a richly woven tapestry. Oh, to be a fourth grader fortunate enough to visit here (I bet he's amazing with them)... it should honestly be mandatory in Hillsborough, Pinellas & Manatee Co. Thank you David, for continuing your family's legacy, being a steward of the land, protecting indigenous history and being a great human. You're one in a million. Blessings 🙌 🦚 🐚
