Highly Recommended - This was good fun and a great day out. We didn’t see any whales or dolphins. It would have been difficult to snorkel as it was quite rough, BUT the crew were great, the vibe was great, we were plied with cocktails, had a good meal, the sunset was great and it was probably the best value trip we have done in Costa Rica. My husband did do some research and looked at all the reviews and chose this one as it is a bit smaller and it was the right choice. It was not packed with people and we were the only ones to put a sail up.

Amazing sunset cruise with an awesome crew - What an amazing experience. the crew was awesome. we took our elderly parents and the staff was very gracious in helping them onto the boat and in and out of the water. the food was good overall. the chicken. was the highlight, so well cooked nd flavorful. Smaller boat and a more chill vibe than the "party boats". would definitely book this boat and crew again and recommend them 100%!

Super day! - Arriving at meet-up point was a little chaotic, but everyone at the beach was helpful and pointed us to the right place. The time on the catamaran was fantastic. Great bartender and good food. We saw whales, stingrays and the bioluminescence of the algae on our way back to shore. Recommend!

Great day on the water! - Great day! The tour was organized, safe, and we felt taken care of the whole time. We saw tons of whales from the boat and stingrays while we were snorkeling. We brought our own snorkel belts for floatation and I'm glad we did because they only had the old style life jackets or pool noodles for floating. Didn't feel rushed at all. The sunset on the way back was gorgeous as well!

Fun Relaxing Boat Ride! - Amazing and relaxing trip! We saw whales, turtles, and evening a reef shark! Food was great, and the crew were fun and attentive. They were especially great with the kids!

Best excursion of the vacation! - What an absolutely incredible experience! We were looking for a calm and relaxing catamaran for our young family, and Caballo del Mar more than delivered! The crew was so friendly and kind to the kids, making sure we all had drinks when we wanted and the food was so delicious too! The boat was immaculately clean and had fresh paint, new lines and felt like a safe vessel which was important for us. We loved seeing whales and turtles, and the captain made sure to stop so we could get a good look. We also paddled to the beach on their paddleboards and loved the cool black sand - it sparkled! All in all it was a relaxing, wonderful experience for our whole family, thank you Caballo del Mar!

One of the best boat tours in Tamarindo - We had SUCH a blast on the boat tour. We were able to have the boat to ourselves for our group of 12 at SUCH a good price and it had a fully open bar, snorkeling, dinner provided and a full staff. I am 100% booking again when I’m back in Tamarindo

Terrible Experience - I don't recommend this tour. We were boarded in group 2, and we couldn't even walk through the cabin to sit, and we had difficulty walking to the front of the boat to sit. We were only offered one drink, and we couldn't even get water. They told us we had to come to the cabin to get water, which was impossible. They parked pretty far from the island, and the swim back and forth was terrible and dangerous for kids. Definitely do not take children on this tour and don't bring towels because you can't easily access anything you bring on. If I had carried anything on, it should have been a small cooler with water and snacks for my family and our own googles for the swim. The crew was not friendly or helpful in any way.
