- Tamarin Bay Surfschool Mauritius - Our company takes you on an unprecedented morning quest: the observation of dolphins in their natural habitat, the Tamarin Bay. The morning offers perfect conditions for having the chance to observe the two fabulous marine mammals: the spinner dolphin (Stenella longirostris) and the bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus), which often take refuge in the bay at night in order to mate and feed. Embark with your guide on the kayaks to discover in a responsible and respectful way the dolphins of Mauritius.
This 2-hour adventure is open to everyone and does not require any previous experience with kayaks.
It is important to note that we cannot guarantee with certainty the presence of dolphins. These are sometimes off the coast, inaccessible by kayak. An alternative route will then be proposed to discover the Tamarind River and its wildlife.

Saw a pod of dolphins, great experience - Great experience which I highly recommend, spotting dolphins is not a guarantee but we were lucky to have seen a pod. Mathieu was very knowledgeable and attentive.

A beautiful experience - We had a superb kayaking experience with Mathieu. He was warm and friendly and got the group feeling relaxed from the start. The experience out in the bay at sunrise was beautiful. After waiting patiently we did eventually get to see a small pod of dolphins swimming nearby. An amazing experience, and I was happy that the welfare of the dolphins was important to Mathieu. After spending some time watching the dolphins in the bay we got to paddle a little way up the river. I would highly recommend this experience!

Mauritius - Paradise Found - Mauritius is an incredible place. Welcoming, friendly, safe, organised.
Hotels abound and the scenery is breathtaking.
The climate is tropical, so expect some rain, but lots of sun and fabulous lagoons, sea, beaches…

A beautiful way to start the day! - We absolutely loved this kayak tour with our guide Mathieu. We met Mat a couple of days prior for a guided hike and on both occasions he was kind, patient and knowledgeable. We saw many dolphins, a beautiful sunset, and generally had a beautiful start to the day. 100% recommend this experience. Thank you Mat!

Great experience - The tour was great and we saw a lot of dolphins. As more and more boats came we were still sailing along the Tamarin River. It was beautiful and our guide was great

The friendlier way to see the dolphins - A really great way to see the dolphins. Calm, quiet and slow. Really allows you to see them without disturbing them. So much better than seeing them from a boat, creating noise, waves and disturbance.

A Fantastic Kayaking Adventure with Gilles - We had an incredible kayaking tour with Gilles, exploring the ocean with dolphins and later a stunning river. Gilles is an amazing guide—knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated to making sure we see and learn as much as possible about wildlife and the environment.
His enthusiasm and effort made the trip unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mauritius!

Great kayak paddling experience with dolphins. - A very nice kayak paddling with Mathieu. During this paddling we were able to see some dolphins, so peaceful and nice experience. Also we paddled up at Tamarin river for a bit, also very nice. I can highly recommend this company to go paddling, they are very much considering the habitat of the dolphins.
