• Tamanique - Please note that the waterfall guides primarily speak Spanish and have limited English proficiency. The hike to the waterfalls begins in the town of Tamanique, where there are restrooms and a convenience store for purchasing water and snacks. The walk to the first river area takes approximately 40 minutes, where visitors can jump from natural cliffs as often as they wish. The jumps range from about 3 to 8 meters in height, and participation is entirely optional. There is also a natural waterslide available, and sliding is possible if the current is favorable. Following this, a 10 to 20-minute walk leads to a stunning waterfall suitable for swimming. For those with energy to spare, a larger waterfall, approximately 50 meters high and the tallest in the area, is accessible. Swimming beneath this waterfall is also an option. The return journey is quite steep, often requiring the use of hands for climbing, and takes about 60 minutes to reach the town. It is advisable to bring at least 2 liters of water and a snack.
