- Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Lokayasutharam) - Discover Wat Lokayasutharam, home to the impressive Reclining Buddha, measuring 37 meters in length and 8 meters in height. Crafted from brick and cement, it showcases the Middle Ayutthaya art style.
- Wat Yai Chai Mang Khon - Established by King U-Thong, the first king of Ayutthaya, in 1357 AD, Wat Yai Chai Mang Khon served as a meditation retreat for monks returning from pilgrimages to Sri Lanka. The grand chedi was erected in 1592 by King Naresuan The Great to celebrate his triumph over Burma (now Myanmar) that same year.
- Wat Mahathat - Renowned for the “Buddha head in tree roots,” Wat Mahathat was a pivotal monastery in the Ayutthaya Kingdom. It was not only a religious hub and the resting place for Buddha’s relics but also a royal monastery.
- Wat Phra Sri Sanphet - Known as “The holiest temple of ancient Ayutthaya,” Wat Phra Sri Sanphet was the most magnificent and beautiful temple in the capital, serving as a model for Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) in Bangkok.
- Wat Phu Khao Thong (Golden Mount) - Constructed in 1569 by Bayinnaung the Great of Hantawaddy (now part of Myanmar) to mark his victory over Ayutthaya, Wat Phu Khao Thong is a beloved landmark of the ancient city. Visitors can ascend the chedi to admire the stunning views of the surrounding paddy fields and the town of Ayutthaya.

I recommend this activity... - I recommend this activity for the following reason:
Hotel pick-up highly recommended, and although there's an end drop point, drive and guide go above and beyond by dropping at near to your hotel as possible. Though, return is in Bangkok's intense traffic, I recommend dropping yourself at the nearest MRT or BTS station.
Then, each stop is allowed more than enough time to explore with freedom. If you desire more information about what you see, let the guide know, and he will provide you the history.
Enjoy

Great temples to see - Guide was very detailed in his history of everything, driver was great also.
The only problem was bad information about our pickup time..when we originally booked it, time
For pickup was 7.00 am. Then the last 3 emails said it was 6.00am.?we tried to get it resolved, but nobody returned our request. So, we missed breakfast and sat outside at 5.55am,.nobody showed up until 6,50..

Do by yourself - The worst tour that I had in my life. The guide didnt speak basic english, the explanations were super weird, he disapeared all the time. No questions, no real guidence. And he didnt let me choose my drop off location!! I felt super dissapointed.
