Learning through food - Jane is a great host. She shares her knowledge about Phuket and some of the different cultures that now call Thailand home through its food. You will learn interesting information about the culture and architecture too. You will not be disappointed. Make sure to come hungry.

Culture and food - what more could you want - Jane couldn’t have been a more lovely tour guide. She took us to eat at places that we never would have found on our own. Places that were Thai and also from other cultures that have become part of Thailand such as China, Myanmar and Malaysia. She gave us the history of the foods and the people that brought them to Phuket. Thank you Jane for an educational and delicious day.

Do it. - Seriously good tour. Jane is one of the most genuine tour guides we’ve come across. Most food walking tours are great but what sets this one apart is the conversation throughout you have with Jane on Thai culture. All the food spot on. Perfect amount of walking. We paced ourselves at the first stop and were glad as you want room in the belly to fit it all in.

Fun Cooking Class for All - I had an amazing experience at this Thai cooking class. The instructors were friendly, patient, and explained everything clearly, making it easy to follow along even if you’re not an experienced cook.
We made Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, Thai curry, and mango sticky rice, and every dish turned out delicious. I really appreciated learning about the ingredients, traditional techniques, and how to balance the flavors properly.
The class was hands-on, fun, and well organized, and I left feeling confident that I could recreate these dishes at home. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Thailand or anyone who loves Thai food.

Awesome food & walking tour - Being self-proclaimed foodies, we were originally thinking we might do a cooking class on our last day in Phuket but then we found this food tour & city walk with Jane & decided that we would rather eat than cook (!) and also learn a little bit about Phuket’s history, whilst walking off some of the food at the same time…and we were so glad we did!
It was a last minute booking (we booked the day before) via WhatsApp & had great communication from Jane the whole way through.
The tour was awesome! From the vibrant stalls of fresh fruits, veggies and flowers at the produce market, the Baba/Peranakan history, cultural heritage and Thai traditions.
And then there’s the food! Phuket has an amazing blend of Asian & European (Portuguese) cultures that influence its cuisine & Jane took us to places we would never have known to venture into. We can’t remember the names of all of the places we visited, however we knew it was going to be good after our first stop at Lock Tien, where we were treated to the most amazing traditional Hokkien fresh soft spring rolls & pork belly sausage. Other food highlights included….well, absolutely all of it!
It was all great so we can’t point out just a few dishes and it was also interesting to learn about how different cuisines made their way into Thai culture.
Jane is a wonderful tour guide, she has great knowledge of the Thai culture & cuisine and shared her knowledge eloquently, with warmth, passion and good humour as she introduced us to the eateries and showed us around some of the main cultural & famous landmarks in old Phuket town.
Lastly, there was special sweet treat at the end of the tour, at Torrys Ice cream, if you can fit it in!
It was all so good, definitely a highlight of our Phuket holiday. Highly recommended, especially if you love food and interested in learning about some of the rich cultural history of Phuket.

Foodie food tour with Jane. - Great food tour with a real “foodie” who is so knowledgeable of Thai food and its many cultural and historical influences. Definitely come hungry because there is lots and lots of food to indulge—with the focus on authentic local foods. My most favorite is the to-die-for Torry’s coconut ice cream with the cutest souvenir pan to take home!!! This tour would have been even more perfect if there was a stop at a farmers fruit market.

Amazing time!! - A 10/10 experience! Jane was an amazing guide who showed us the best of Phuket's hidden gems. She did a fantastic job of explaining local history and how it connects to the food we were eating. The Hokkien spring rolls were the absolute highlight—easily the best I've ever had. It was an incredible value for the price with so much food provided. This tour is a must-do and I definitely recommend it!"

Christmas 2025 food tour - Booked for Christmas Day a wonderful activity to do while solo. Khun Jane was a wonderful tour host. I have lived on Phuket for a year so it was really interesting to get a locals perspective on the Old Town and history and origins of Phuket. The place makes a lot more sense to me now. Food stops were all excellent! Totally recommend good value 1/2 day.

Authentic local food across Phuket Old Town - This was a fantastic food tour and one of the highlights of our stay. The tour started at the wet market in Phuket Old Town, which was a great introduction to local ingredients and everyday food culture. From there, we visited several restaurants and food spots around town, sampling a wide variety of authentic, local, and very fresh dishes with influences from Chinese, Myanmar, Malay, and Thai cuisines. Everything was well paced and never felt rushed. These are places and dishes we simply would not have found on our own, and even if we had, we wouldn’t have known what to order or how to order at some locations. We also learned a lot about Old Town sights and history along the way. Jane was an excellent guide, clearly passionate about food, flavors, and local traditions, and she made the whole experience feel genuine and thoughtfully curated. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience real local cuisine.
