A charming way to spend the morning - I had a wonderful time learning to tie multiple mizuhiki knots and making a notebook from scratch. It was fun to choose all of the materials and I especially appreciated the small class size -- and, notably, it was possible to book this class as an individual participant without having to pay for a "two participant minimum," which I noticed was common for other similar classes. This was a charming class, and I purchased additional materials when I left so that I can make more knots and show friends back home.

Fun Craft Activity - We learned how to make a beautiful notebook and traditional decorative Japanese knots to make a bookmark. The workshop was well organized and easy to follow. We also learned about washi , Japanese paper making, and other paper craft shops in the area. Tea and special cookies were served at the end. Kami, the owner’s cat, was friendly and entertained us as we worked.
