Beijing - Tai’an - Qufu (L)

Beijing South Railway Station - The driver will transport guests from their hotel to the Train Station. Board the morning train to Tai’an, which takes approximately 2 hours.

Mount Tai - Upon arrival, meet the welcoming local tour guide and travel to the Taishan Tourists Center. Take the shuttle bus to the Mid-Heaven Gate (Zhongtianmen), a journey of about 30 minutes. Then, enjoy a panoramic cable-car ride to the South Heaven Gate (Nantianmen), offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.

Yuhuang Top - Accompanied by the tour guide, take a leisurely walk around the Jade Emperor Peak. Appreciate the stone tablets and inscriptions in the vicinity. Visit the Jade Emperor Temple, constructed in honor of the Jade Emperor of Taoism.

Bixia Temple - Discover the Bixia Temple, established in 1008 during the Song Dynasty. It stands as a masterpiece of Taoist architecture, showcasing the advanced construction techniques of ancient Chinese architecture. Gain insights into the history of Taoism in China and its impact on Chinese culture.

Qufu - Relish a meal at a local restaurant. Descend from the Jade Emperor Peak to the mountain’s base. The tour guide will escort guests to Tai’an Railway Station for a 20-minute bullet train ride to the hotel in Qufu.

Confucius Temple - After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Temple of Confucius and witness the “Opening Gate Ceremony.”

Qufu Dacheng Hall - The Temple of Confucius, initially built in 478 BC to honor Confucius, follows the design of imperial palaces. Explore the halls and courtyards with the tour guide, learn about the architectural symbolism, admire the statue of Confucius, and visit the stone tablets, steles, and pavilions. Discover Confucius’ life and various historical and cultural elements related to Confucius and his culture.

Former Residence of Confucius in Qufu - Next, visit the Kong Family Mansion, where Confucius’ descendants resided and conducted elaborate religious ceremonies for events like plantings, harvests, honoring the deceased, and birthdays.

Kong Forest - Enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant and explore the Confucian Cemetery, which has served as the family burial ground for Confucius and his descendants for over two thousand years. Approximately 3,600 tombstones from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties remain in the cemetery.

Beijing South Railway Station - After the tour concludes, the tour guide will accompany guests to Qufu Railway Station for the train back to Beijing (approximately 2.5 hours). Upon arrival, the driver will meet guests at Beijing South Railway Station and transport them back to their hotel in Beijing City.
