A magical day to remember 🫶🏻 - We had an absolutely unforgettable day! From the start, the boat impressed us: spacious, comfortable, state-of-the-art, perfect for enjoying the sea in small groups (we were only 6 on board, what a luxury!). Our guide was simply exceptional: welcoming, smiling, filled with little touches (fresh fruit, drinks on board) and exciting advice on local culture and nature. You can feel his passion and desire to share his island. The program was perfectly balanced. Visit the rum factory 🥃and the vanilla grove, visit the pearl farm, an authentic immersion in the riches of Taha'a 😃 Snorkeling in the Coral Garden 🐠🤿 a true underwater paradise, worthy of a natural aquarium! And the meal... 🤤 We ate wonderfully well, with tasty local specialties. And to close this day, a magical encounter with sharks 😍🦈🤿 In short, a fantastic, friendly and rewarding experience, well beyond our expectations. We leave with stars full of eyes and a huge gratitude for our guide and his professionalism. Mauruuru roa for this day that will remain etched in our memories! 🫶🏻

So much to see and do on this tour! - We did the wonderful vanilla tour around Taha’a with Jimmy, the owner of Blue Lagoon Raiatea. We were picked up in Raiatea and had both English speaking and French speaking groups on our tour. We loved the layout of the boat as there are tables with seats around them for more comfort on the motorized outrigger canoe with a net on one side to relax on. There were 13 passengers total. Our first stop was on the island of Taha’a where we stopped at Champon pearl farm and learned the process of farming and grafting pearls. There are several colors such as copper and aubergine that are unique to French Polynesia. Folks were allowed to shop. We then stopped at the vanilla plantation about 10 minutes away by water. The owner gave a brief tour of his farm under a canopy with seats before we were shown the store to buy products. We left and then headed to the coral garden where we did some amazing snorkeling. For very good/comfortable swimmers, Jimmy has a special route where there is a strong current carrying the swimmer over the coral. The water is not deep, but you don’t want to stand and touch the coral and need to be comfortable snorkeling. There is plenty of time at this stop to enjoy the water, snorkel, or take a nap on the net. The scenery is just breathtaking. Afterwards, we stopped at Pari Pari Rum Factory where they gave us a quick tour. They do not do free samples but you could purchase a sample. We left and went to Motu Tuahi for lunch. We were served sugared banana, potato and ube au gratin, taro, chicken, fish, coconut bread cooked in leaves, rice. Food was great but lots of flies everywhere when eating, unfortunately. We explored the little motu, went swimming with two eagle rays and two sharks, bought some Hinano beers, and played catch in the water. After the motu, we sailed fully around Taha’a, with the last bit of sailing taking 45 minutes to stop at another snorkeling place that had tons of black tipped sharks that swam just a few feet from you. It was a wonderful way to end the day before heading back to the marina. Book this excursion, you’ll have a great time!!

If you only have one activity to do in RAIATEA choose this one! - The day was marked by a variety of activities: pearl farms, vanilla grove, coral garden, rum shop, lunch (copious) and shark diving. Little more and not least: the dolphins joined our journey. MAGIC! Jimmy is super friendly and extremely caring. PS: Thanks again to you for holding my hand (I am a 51 years old grown child...) to cross the coral garden

Exceptional tour around Tahaa - An excellent well-organized full-day tour from Raiatea circumnavigating the Tahaa Island. We visited the vanilla plantation and rum distillery, and snorkeled at two sites: coral garden for colorful fish and urchins (shallow water) and for the black tip sharks (deep water). The tour was kept on schedule, with adequate time at each site. The quality of lunch on motu was perhaps our best in FP. The guide was personable with fluent English.

Excellent Tour - super efficient way to see Taha’a - Wow, this is one of the best tours that we have ever gone on in all the world. It was such an efficient way to see Taha’a. In 7 hours, we visited a pearl farm, a vanilla farm, a rum distillery, had a buffet lunch on a motu and snorkeled twice. The host, Jimmy, is fantastic and has a fascinating back-story of a sailing/ boating life. He is very nice and accommodates both English- and French-speaking passengers, seamlessly. He has all the equipment and knows exactly where to go. I loved all the tours - the speakers were knowledgeable and interesting. There was no pressure to buy; however, we found gifts for our friends and relatives at some of the stops. If you own snorkel masks and water shoes, bring those, but, if not, Jimmy has equipment for you to use. Bring a beach towel, sunscreen, hat. He even has rain jackets for everyone when the water and wind were blowing on to the boat. I highly recommend this tour.

Beautiful tour with perfect service. - The best tour I've done on the Society Islands. The guide Jimmy speaks perfect English and translates everything so that non-French guests get all the information. At the Pearl, Vanilla Farm and Rum Distillery, the groups were divided into French and English speaking. Also on board were rain jackets, swimming shoes and snorkel masks. A service I have not experienced anywhere else. Clear recommendation!

It was informational of... - It was informational of the pearl, vanilla and rum industries. In the original chat with the agent I was looking for a Raiatea island inclusion which was from my understanding in the text it was included. It was confirmed by the guide that this particular tour do not include. A mix up somewhere with the booking agent. Also there is only one pickup and drop off on the whole island of Taha which is inconvenient and expensive taxi cost and not included in the price. I learned other operators do pick up at the accommodation I was staying at. All in all it was a fine tour but it was not what I was expecting.
