• Picnic Grove - After being picked up from your hotel in Manila, proceed directly to the Taal Volcano ridge known as Picnic Grove in Tagaytay City for a sightseeing tour of the Taal Volcano eruption. The volcano unexpectedly erupted at 2:36 PM on Sunday, January 12, 2020, prompting an evacuation from the island. Over the following 24 hours, ash from the crater spread to Metro Manila and nearby areas, causing 150,000 people to evacuate their homes.
• Lake Taal - Delight in a 2+-hour boat tour around the active volcano and witness the unique island just ten meters from the boat. Observe the volcano releasing Sulfur Dioxide. Daily measurements recorded 18,638 tonnes of volcanic sulfur dioxide or SO2 gas emissions from the Taal Main Crater. Taal has averaged about 10,331 tonnes/day for the year and has been continuously releasing large amounts of SO2 since the 2020 eruption.

Please note that the Island Volcano, including the Crater, remains off-limits by order of the National Government, as the Philippine Volcanology Institute has maintained the eruption Alert at Level 1. The policy prohibiting setting foot on the island is still enforced.
