4-Day Hike in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains: Gazing from the mountain peak offers a liberating experience. This 4-day trek through the Atlas Mountain peaks is a moderately challenging hike, featuring more ascents and descents than some other options, providing ample opportunities to clear your mind. The lush greens of junipers and pines soon give way to the earthy browns of ancient houses and terraced fields of corn and barley, showcasing the cultural harmony with nature. Berber villages, with their farming communities and terraced fields, are vital to village life and economy. Ingenious irrigation channels ensure these settlements are always supplied with life-sustaining water. Throughout the trek, it’s fascinating to see how locals utilize the rugged terrain to their advantage. Each field is similar, yet uniquely detailed.
