- Ulun Danu Bratan Temple - Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is a stunning attraction in Bali, renowned for its picturesque setting and significant temple complex on the western side of Beratan Lake in Bedugul, central Bali. Known as the source temple of Lake Beratan, it is one of the island’s most iconic sanctuaries, sharing scenic beauty with the seaside temples of Uluwatu and Tanah Lot.
- Tamblingan Lake - Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan, situated at altitudes nearing 4,000 feet, form the heart of Bali’s farming region, with coffee plantations, vegetable fields, and traditional rice paddies adorning the nearby slopes. Lake Tamblingan plays a vital role in the religious life of local villagers who earn their living through fishing, farming, and ferrying tourists and worshippers by dugout canoe to the 31 temples near the lake. These two significant lakes are seldom mentioned in most tourist literature. Tourism is just beginning to establish itself in this traditional area, with most visitors heading to the more famous Lake Bratan a few miles east.
- Munduk Waterfall - Munduk Waterfall, located near Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan, is situated in the village of Munduk, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency. It is approximately 70 km from Denpasar or 20 km from the Bedugul Tourism Area. Munduk village, at an altitude of around 800 meters above sea level, enjoys a cool climate ideal for agriculture, particularly coffee and clove. This is one of the island’s magnificent waterfalls. The path to Munduk Waterfall is densely lined with clove and coffee trees, as well as avocado, taro, banana, and some durian trees. Visitors can enjoy a great workout while learning about local farming and getting acquainted with the local vegetation along the path to the impressive waterfall, one of many in Bali.
- Banjar Hot Springs - Banjar Hot Springs remain tranquil in the pools. These centuries-old hot springs have been modernized over time and have become a popular retreat and recreational site for both locals and international visitors. At the entrance to the springs, a ticket office is located next to a parking area. Cars and coaches stop here, while motorcycles are allowed further access along the row of shops to a smaller parking area near a roofed stone gate with a sign reading “Permandian Air Panas” or “hot water bathing place.” The souvenir shops lining the route before the stone gate offer a variety of items, from framed art and handicrafts to souvenirs, Bintang shirts, batiks, and dyed cloths.
- Brahma Vihara Arama Buddhist Monastery - The Buddha Temple, constructed in 1970 with local funding and assistance from the Thai government, was consecrated in 1972. It suffered damage from an earthquake in 1976. The new Stupa has been repaired and is adorned with splendidly colorful decorations. The temple complex boasts a beautiful hillside setting, with a brilliant orange tile roof over an entrance gate guarded by two fine Naga, and a bell tower in the corner of the middle courtyard. Each step up to the temple features Buddha wisdom, and the walls are adorned with scenes from Buddha’s life. A lower temple houses a gold Buddha from Thailand as a centerpiece, with carved stone plaques depicting scenes from Buddha’s life on all the main temples and colorful Buddhist art to the left of the top temple. Further up, visitors will find the temple’s founder next to several large Stupas, making this part of the monastery the most intriguing and a magnet for pilgrimages. Known as Vihara Buddha Banjar, it is the largest Buddhist temple in Bali. Located in a hilly area in Tehege Village, Desa Banjar, Buleleng Regency, about 22 km west of Singaraja city, Brahmavihara Arama offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for spiritual reflection.

The Private Full-Day Car Charter: Beauty of North Bali Tour is a riveting journey that takes you to the most interesting places in northern Bali. The exploration starts from your hotel, with the first stop being the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple. This temple is often described as the Bali temple on the lake because it appears to be floating when the lake’s water level rises. From there, we move on to take a look at Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan, both of which are renowned as the twin lakes in Bali.
The following part of the journey takes us to the Munduk Waterfall, nestled between elevations of 800 to 900 meters above sea level. You can choose to have lunch during the trip, simply let our driver know. After lunch, we continue with the tour to the Buddha Temple, recognized as the largest Buddhist monastery in Bali. The final stop of the journey is the Banjar Hot Spring, where you can enjoy a swim. The spring offers sulfuric water of volcanic origin with a delightful warm temperature of 37 degrees Celsius, offering potential relief for those with rheumatic ailments.
