Learn what good cannoli taste like! - I absolutely loved the tour with Iryna! She was up beat and informative. The tour was only supposed to go for 3 hours but we were having so much fun that it was nearly 4 hours by the time we all said goodbye. The foods that we tasted on our tour were all local and authentic and I can honestly say I've never such nice cannoli before. My standards for cannoli have never been higher. I will forever be disappointed eating prefilled cannoli shells that aren't made fresh! Thank you Iryna!

Delicious street food with lots of history! - This Street Food tour was a wonderful way to see important Ortigia landmarks, to learn some of the history of the city, and to taste some iconic and delicious foods. Our guide Brenda was excellent: so friendly and knowledgable. We toured for more than 3 hours, stopping to enjoy a charcuterie board, (large) arancini with a choice of fillings, granita, cones of fried fish with wine or a non-alcoholic and veggies, and limoncello and small cannoli. The entire walk was about 2.5 miles and there were places to sit along the way. Highly recommend! Pro tip: Come hungry! Each stop served generous portions.

Slice of Sicily - One of the best walking tours I've ever done! Maria Grazia was friendly and knowledgeable. As we walked the streets of Ortigia many friends and family said hello. It was a true slice of Sicilian life. ❤️ The food stops were chosen personally by Maria and were locally owned and operated. A good amount of culture and history mixed in as well. Highly recommend!

Ortigia with a local. - This was an excellent tour hosted by Iryna, her knowledge of Ortigia was very interesting especially as she grew up and lives on the island. The food was very tasty and very fresh. 1 of the stops was a family run delicatessen to which we went back the following day for lunch and we had an excellent meal. I would highly recommend this tour.

A Deep Dive of Ortegia - Food, History, and a Lifetime of Memories! - If you are lucky enough to get Iryna as your guide, not only will you eat well, but you will deep dive the history and streets of Ortegia. Iryna has spent her entire life living on the island, and knows every street and alley like the back of her hand. As we walked, she told us stories of what life was and is like living there. She shared vivid memories of her childhood, complete with humorous and heartfelt stories of her adventures, as well as taking us back to a simpler time when her grandmother would prepare food on the terrace and street itself. Think of your own childhood and how well you could guide people through your own neighborhood. That is exactly what we experienced with Irnya. And of course, we ate and drank well! Irnya is expert on the foods of Ortegia, and she has prepared all of the dishes we sampled in her grandmother and mother's kitchens, as well as her own. She is particularly expert in fish, as her grandfather was a fisherman. Even today she gets fresh fish delivered to her door by fishing friends of the family. Irnya is a wonderful person who not only will teach you all about the island, about the past and the present, about the foods that Ortegian's prepare and eat, but she will brighten your day with a wonderful smile and a great sense of humor. Thank you Irnya!
