Worth it! - We were walked from the meeting point to the boat quickly and with a friendly guide. He brought us eight to the boat and made sure we got on safely. We were the only two on the small boat with Numzio, our captain. He showed us all of the sites, special rock formations, historical areas and brought us into 3 caves. Nuncio answered all of our questions in perfect English and translated some words for us in Italian. This trip was about an hour, 20 minutes and was worth the cost.

A highlight of our trip.... - A highlight of our trip. Our tour guide was great and knew English very well. Very funny and informative. He also recommended restaurants and sights to see. Boat was pretty well kept and comfortable to ride in. Our boat ride was around 45 minutes long; time probably depends on the condition of the water. We went at 4 PM (sunset) in November and the weather was great.

This was a great way to... - This was a great way to see the beautiful island from the water. Unfortunately the waves became too big during our tour on the one side of the island. Our great guide realized this and was very cautious about how far we went out and turned around when it was no longer safe. We returned to a calmer side of the water with amazing views. Lots of great history information from our tour guide as well.

Worth it! - It might be a little bumpy! If you're afraid of getting wet, wear your rain coat. Ninni (wrong spelling) was an excellent guide,a bit cheeky and knowledgeable.

I’d book it again in a heartbeat. Add this to your Ortigia visit and you’ll have a memorable experience. - This was a great experience. Captain Ninni was a sure hand at the tiller and everyone on the boat had an unforgettable experience.

Not what we expected - The boat ride was nice but very short. We thought we were going on a 1 1/4 hour boat ride and were only on the boat for 45 minutes. The captain of the boat was okay but he tried to joke with the passengers, but some of the jokes came out just sounding rude. Also, there were two different meet up point for the excursion, one further away from the boat, which seemed unnecessary. Just have people meet at the boat.

Not what the tour offers - The day we went was windy so our older captain decided not to take us into either caves (the whole point of this tour) while the rest of our group was with a different captain and boat and he took them into both caves. We also saw other boats going into the caves. Ours did not!! BEWARE!!
