Drive to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft): 145 km

Hotel Garden Inn Shyfru Bensi - Please inform us of your arrival in Kathmandu, and we will arrange for your pickup from the airport to your hotel. Note that our package begins on the second day of your arrival.

Our representative will meet you at your hotel door in Kathmandu at 6:30 AM to start the trip.

The journey begins with a 6 to 7-hour drive through lush green forests, winding roads through the hills, and alongside gracefully flowing rivers, similar to the route to Pokhara.

After breakfast, we drive along the north-western mountains of Kathmandu, enjoying the Himalayan views and observing the unique lifestyle in the terraced fields and rural towns. We will have lunch at Trishuli Bazar before continuing to Dhunche. From Dhunche, we proceed to Syabrubesi.

Trek to Lama Hotel (2,380m/7,830ft)

Lama Hotel - This marks our first day of trekking. We follow the Langtang Khola (river), pass through dense woodlands, cross several suspension bridges, and pass by tea houses. The trail appears steep but is not too challenging and is always exciting.

Trek to Langtang Valley (3,430m/11,253ft)

Langtang Valley - After morning tea, we begin our second day of the journey. Our trail continues through thick forests. Enjoy the magnificent views of Langtang-Lirung, pass water mills, see Chortens, and admire the stunning hills with various carvings.

Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m/12,697ft)

Kyanjin Gompa - After breakfast, we leave the village and pass through yak pastures. We also cross the largest Mani wall in Nepal and several wooden bridges. As we ascend to higher elevations, you may start to feel the thin mountain air. Kyanjin Gompa is surrounded by the Himalayas. You can take a walk around Kyanjin Gompa, enjoying the views, glaciers, icefalls, and yaks.

Trek to Kyanjin View Point & back to Lama Hotel

Lama Hotel - Early in the morning, we visit Kyanjin View Point or Kyanjin Ri (4500m/4700m) for breathtaking sunrise views. After breakfast, we continue to Lama Hotel. The trek is mostly downhill and takes about 5 to 6 hours from Kyanjin Gompa to reach Lama Hotel. We pass through ethnic Tamang settlements, whose religious and cultural practices are similar to those of Tibetans.

Trek back to Syabrubesi

Hotel Garden Inn Shyfru Bensi - After breakfast, we trek down to Syabrubesi, which takes about 5 hours. Enjoy the easy downhill trail through lush green vegetation. Upon arrival in Syabrubesi, we will have lunch.

Depending on our walking speed, we may have some spare time to enjoy the stunning view of this unique hill town.

Syabrubesi to Kathmandu

Bhagawati Marg - After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel. Spend the day at your leisure, enjoying some well-deserved rest, last-minute shopping, or sightseeing any places you might have missed on your first day in Kathmandu. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner.
