Excellent! We recommend Fabio and Emile guides! - We did this family activity with Fabio and Emile as guides, and we were delighted by their work! Very friendly they made a full briefing, on the water we had explanations about the icebergs and the kayak tour is simple, but superb. We loved it! The two 14-year-olds thought it was fabulous.... And so do we!
Thank you Ice Guide, Fabio and Emile! Thank you for the photos too. Famille Cortial

Lots of people want to do it, because it’s cool - Very unique experience - more touristy than I wish it was, but it is what it is. That is all I wish to say but it’s making me put more text due to a limit.

Unforgettable experience! - I took the kayaking tour with my friend just last week and it was an amazing experience! We were surrounded by icebergs and we had a wonderful view of the glacier. We took so many pictures and left with unforgettable memories. We were even lucky to see several seals! The gear we were provided with kept us warm and nice in the middle of the ice.
Our guide Kevin made all of this possible. He was super knowledgeable about Jökulsárlón and about Vatnajökull, and made sure that it was a memorable and a safe experience for all of us.
All in all, a 100% recommendable tour!!

LOVED the Experience. - My husband, our 18 year old daughter and I really enjoyed the kayaking experience. Our guides were very personable, friendly, knowledgeable and focused on safety! We really enjoyed the entire experience, it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Historically we did not book a lot of tours when we travel, but give the uniqueness of the experience- we thought it was worth booking, and we are so glad we did. Thank you for a memorable experience.
*I think one of our guides was named Kevin- and the other gentleman had just started that week. I cannot remember his name, but they were both wonderful!

Fog at the lagoon - Because of much fog and permanent rain, we could not paddle as normal for safety reasons, many motorboattours are on the laggoon too. So we often stopped to have a very long look at the ice in the lagoon. We didn't even see the end of the glacier. So put on many layers of clothes if you have the same weather conditions. On a bright day it must be a highlight.

Close to the elements - We were lucky to be in the lagoon in good weather. In a group of about 12 people we got the waterproof suits, then walked a few meters to the kayaks and got a safety briefing there. ES then went out on the water in two-pack kayaks. The lagoon is quiet, there is a distance to the icebergs. But individual small clods are already in the way. In total you are about an hour on the water. Great experience and you can't be closer to the environment. Sustainably impressive!

Bad experience - Disappointing trip to Heinabergslon glacier lagoon by kayak. The suit provided by Iceguide.is was old and not waterproof: I spent the end of the activity soaked and frozen. Ask for a blue and black combination, these are the newest. The attendants are friendly but this is not enough to make the activity interesting. The excursion is focused on paddling, not on observing the site, which I had not imagined. I had preferred this option to avoid the crowds but to choose between the two "amusement parks", the Jokulsarlon lagoon is the most impressive, and a hike around seems more interesting to me.

Ignore the pretty pictures - you swim 100m away from icebergs. - This was incredibly underwhelming. Looking at the photos you might think you will come really close to icebergs and that tour operators will take some great pictures of you. The reality is that they take terrible pictures using your phone + you kayak 150 meters away from the icebergs. I get that it’s for safety, but then why posting pictures of people touching the ice, on the trip offer? This is straight out scam.
